Nick (nickanthony51) | 400 comments Publishers Weekly News letter...

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments Heck, why settle for a blog? Why not brand a review of your book into the hippocampus of every person in the world so your review will be their first thought upon waking up, and their last horrible thought before dreaming- ABOUT YOUR BOOK.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA---

*cough* *drinks water*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

message 4: by Judy (new)

Judy Goodwin | 187 comments I could be happy with a review on Stephen King's blog. That'd do nicely.

message 5: by Clay (new)

Clay Mitchell (AuthorCMitchell) | 4 comments I think Bill O'Reilly's blog might garner some attention!

message 6: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments I'd love to have a review on SFFWorld's blog. They rock my socks! ;)

But it would be nice to be reviewed on Big Al's Books and Pals.

Jessica, reach out and contact them. You never know what could happen, and it does not hurt to try. :)

message 8: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments Mary, I did. They say they may review me but can't promise anything. :)

message 9: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments I'd like to be reviewed by Kirkus Book Reviews without having to pay the indie author fee!

message 10: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Corva | 5 comments I'd love to get reviewed on Totally Booked's blog. I sent them a message on GR with a polite request to consider my upcoming novel, but got no reply. Maybe I need to go through their site instead.

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments Unless they specifically said to go through their blog, I wouldn't contact them again. There are a lot of books coming out this summer, and I imagine that they are very busy.

Good for you! I am glad that you contacted them. I hope that they give you a review! (fingers crossed for you!)

message 13: by K.A. (new)

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) I'd settle for a review on Neil Gaiman's tumblr.

message 14: by Candi (new)

Candi Holme (goodreadsCandi) | 1 comments Hello, I am a new author and don't know my way around the block, so I am trying to learn everything I can about promoting my book. I started a blog on Goodreads, and I have a current professional reviewer reading my book at forums.online.bookclub.org, after which I hope to have a posting of the review. I have been scouting which avenues to take with regard to blogging.
Thanks for your postings, which helps me learn what to consider next.

Thank you, Mary! I'm going to wait and hope ;)

Lawrence Grodecki (lawrencegrodecki) | 25 comments Anais Nin's Blog, or perhaps Mark Twain's or Albert Einstein's . . . I think Marilyn would have done nicely too, but not Elvis.

message 17: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments OK, you know what? I'll bite. The Oatmeal. I'd love to see him lampoon me and my characters with his amazing art.

message 18: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments Who is 'The Oatmeal' Nenia?

message 19: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments Look, and be amazed: http://theoatmeal.com/

message 20: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments Thank you! (bookmarks for future perusal later on) :)

message 21: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments You're welcome. :D

I still say that the mass hippocampal branding is my first choice, though. I am, after all, an aspiring evil genius.

message 22: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments LOL Of course to be an evil genius needs work!

I have now visited the Oatmeal and it is love. The only problem will be not spending the next 24 hours reading the blog!

message 23: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 165 comments This is true. Perhaps I should just be an evil Couch Potato. All I would have to do is sit on the sofa and give Jersey Shore viewer ratings. >:D

It seriously is, right? I'm so addicted to that site.

message 24: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments I am a fan of the Oatmeal now. And with you on the evil Couch Potato idea.

Have never seen Jersey Shore though - maybe it's not on in the UK?

message 25: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Grodecki (lawrencegrodecki) | 25 comments Two Spuds up . . . do I detect a ripple effect?

message 26: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments We're going to get mashed!

message 27: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Grodecki (lawrencegrodecki) | 25 comments Ahhh, bingo! Mashable - is that a good one!

message 28: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments Aha!

Mind you, I've never been to Mashable. What with them and Oatmeal...

I feel a bit peckish!

message 29: by Lawrence (new)

Lawrence Grodecki (lawrencegrodecki) | 25 comments I was just kidding. Mashable is mostly a popular technie kind of blog. I'm thinking the best place to have my book favorably reviewed would be on the blog, "Brain Pickings".

message 30: by Jon (new)

Jon Etheredge (jonetheredge) | 495 comments Have we gone a tiny bit astray?

message 31: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (glass_mountain) | 58 comments I think you may be right, Jon.

We has topic drift ;)

Martin Reed (pendrum) | 23 comments Technically not a blog, but Justin Bieber's Twitter account would probably result in a sales spike if you somehow got it there.
