message 6: by Pippa (new)

Pippa (pippa222) | 7 comments Haha. I'd post my blog address here if I thought it wouldn't look like shameless promotion. I've just been writing about renting, poverty and the (sometimes) lack of deposit protection. Paupers feels about right.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 257 comments Tell me about it, we are trying to get a a mortgage. Apparently even though we can pay our rent every month we can't afford a mortgage.

Complete snoredom.

message 9: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (debsreaper) | 4 comments Oh Isn I do agree with you, the way the media are going on about it she's the only woman in the world to have ever given birth! Tired of hearing about it already, more interested to hear if a friends best friend has had her baby & bet she didn't have the taxpayer pay out nearly £7,000 for one night in hospital to have the baby. If Royal family want to make themselves more in tune with the general public why didn't she have it in an NHS hospital especially as it's the 65th anniversary of NHS & bet she wasn't born in the Lindo Wing!!!!

Debbie (debsreaper) | 4 comments Oops sorry about the typo Ian (blush)

message 15: by Ellie (new)

Ellie M (elliemcc11) | 553 comments I'm a new mum so participate in various baby related groups on Facebook for the promotions etc. In the lead up to the birth and now since the Princelet is born it's been neverending speculation on gender, now name, endless congratulations, endless promotions of stuff to kit your kid out in to look like a Prince / Princess. Am sick of it all :-/

message 16: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments Oh yes, bored now! Time for some other news please...

message 17: by Dora (new)

Dora (dora95) I've recently got home from England. Before I left, my mum had asked me to bring home some newspapers about the newborn, but he hadn't been born until I got home. So, what's his name?

message 18: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments He's called George.

message 19: by Dora (new)

Dora (dora95) :)

message 20: by Dora (new)

Dora (dora95) When exactly was he born?

message 21: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments Ummmmm.... anyone??? Was it Monday???

message 22: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments I called my twin daughters "that one" and "this one" for many months when they were babies as in... "that one's just been fed, can you feed this one?" They did have names but we were surviving on minimal sleep, you know how it is.

message 23: by Dora (new)

Dora (dora95) :d:d
And what are their names?

message 24: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments They're called "loud" and "louder" now they're 8.

message 25: by A.L. (new)

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 257 comments Lol.

On a slightly different note I had two pet rats - they were called Rhubarb and Custard but they THOUGHT their names were Stopit and Don'tdothat.

lol....wait till the teen years Em.....helpful if you have carefully nurtured their musical taster.

I like the idea of Prince It, though Prince Rat would be even better.

message 27: by Dora (new)

Dora (dora95) Yes, but what are their real names? :d

message 28: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (theelliemo) Being in Gloucestershire, we had a slightly different take on the news: Tetbury man becomes Grandfather :)
