Jason Bergman (loonyboi) I randomly stumbled across these recently and thought I'd share with the S&L community:

Some really good tips from these rules, and Robert J. Sawyer's comments on each are great too.

I especially like Rule #5: You Must Keep it on the Market until it has Sold

Wilmar Luna (wilmarluna) | 241 comments It's crazy, but these are totally common sense rules. It really just means that you need persistence in order to be a writer. Though I will say, it's definitely hand to read those "the process of writing" books, before you publish your 1st manuscript. After is fine too, but the ratings beating can be a morale killer.

Michael Pearce (michaeltinkerpearce) | 23 comments Great rules- and now with so many choosing to self-publish I'd add a rule- Have your work edited before presenting it! We use an editor, a proof reader and a beta-reader or five before we publish. Even a good story can turn off your readers if it is full of typos, misspelling and errors.
