Sword & Sorcery: "An earthier sort of fantasy" discussion

Although I am more of a horror and fantasy fan, I have recently created a goodreads group devoted to the evolution of sci fi. We will go through each decade starting with Jules Verne until we arrive at the present. For me it will be a learning process. If you feel like checking us out here's the link:

Great idea. If I weren't already in a lot of groups I'd certainly join. I'm having a hard time keeping up with current groups unfortunately.

Yeah I hear ya, I am sort of the same way, but I plan on focusing on my sci-fi one at least until I have achieved my goal, but will frequent other groups and forums as well. I can't cut fantasy and horror out of my diet completely :p
