John Beachem | 373 comments I'm just curious as to who's reading (or has already read) this month's book, [Book: Good Omens]. It's one of my all-time favorites, so I'm really looking forward to the discussion...

Jon (jonmoss) | 529 comments I finished it a week or so ago. I laughed out loud several times during my lunch break at work.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I've read it a while ago. I really enjoyed it. Crawley is my favorite character. Such fun!

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments I read it a few years ago, but I just thought it was ok. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm just not a real big fan of Terry Pratchett.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) I've never read anything by Terry Pratchett aside from his contribution to Good Omens, but my mother got me Hogfather (the movie) for Christmas last year, and she said it's hilarious. I haven't watched it yet, though.

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments I've read it several years ago. I may or may not do a re-read, based on time crunch....but I'll participate in discussions either way.

As Gene Siskel said, humor is one of the two things that cannot be argued or debated. If you find something funny, no one's going to convince you that you actually DON'T find it funny, and vice versa.

Marian I enjoyed it too. I found it a quick and easy read.

Same here - I read it because I love Pratchett and it got me into Gaiman. A really great book!

meleah (meleahreads) I read it several months ago after a friend recommended it. I thought it was great.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) I read it a few years back, after I was already familiar with both Gaiman and Pratchett. I liked it, though it's not one of my faves. I'm looking forward to rereading it - I haven't started it yet, though. Probably won't until a bit later in the month. (Then again, after not finding much real humor in To Say Nothing of the Dog, maybe something with some guaranteed laughs would be a good thing... )

Barbm1020 I read this years ago and then a couple of years ago, and probably will again now that my copy has been through the whole family. I loved the Them and all the grownups and supernatural entities who tried to manipulate them and couldn't. Also Agness and Anathema and gosh just all of them. Pratchett and Gaiman were a great band, will they ever get back together now that Gaiman is a star too?

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments I read it a few months ago and like Jon I LOL'd several times. Mine were on a bus/train during commute and I didn't care a bit. I thought it was very humerous. It was my first Prachett and second Gaiman and I found it a very enjoyable read.

John Beachem | 373 comments I laughed repeatedly back when I read this. I still laugh out loud just THINKING about it.

message 15: by Ann (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ann (summergal) I've read this book and loved it, very funny! Hadn't read anything by either Pratchett or Gaiman and glad this book was mentioned.

message 16: by Random (new) - added it

Random (rand0m1s) I read this for the first time back in 1992. I had never heard of Terry Pratchett and only knew Neil Gaiman from the Sandman comics. Since then I have devoured everything I could find from both of these authors.

I have to confess I've probably re read Good Omens at least 20 times since then.

DavidO (drgnangl) I listened to it on audiobook. Does that count as reading it?

Ravenskya (ravenskya) The Queen CD's cracked me up :)

Terri (terrilovescrows) Its been years but some scenes had me laughing out loud

message 20: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim I read it last year sometime. I found it hilarious.

Tracy Dobbs | 121 comments Hmm, finished my re-read. I read this when it first came out. I remember spontaneous laughter back then, this time not so much. Still humorous, just not quite as much as I remember.

Kathy I'm done, but I finished it about May 10, so discussion could be kind of problematic without the book in front of me (library loan).

message 23: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate Kulig (katekulig) I'll probably reread it this month. It's one of my favorite books. I love Pratchett's ludicrousness and Gaimain's morbidity.
