Wayne Hi, all. I'm new here, but not new to Thrillers. Been reading them avidly and searching them out for 25+ years, so I'm shocked that I haven't run into Steve Hamilton before. Just started reading Misery Bay, one of the first Alex McKnight stories. Holy smokes it's good. Very intriguing premise. Very "human" protagonist. Seriously fun support characters. Loving it so far.

Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments I really enjoy Steve Hamilton - I've read two of them, starting with A Cold Day in Paradise, which was given to me after I visited the area, so I could envision where he was and what was going on. I think the second was Winter of the Wolf Moon? Plan to read more at some point.

Misery Bay is one of my favorite reads of the last few years.

Wayne I'm listening to Misery Bay on audiobook and reading the paperback of A Could Day in Paradise concurrently. Really enjoying the narrative voice.

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments I just added all the other ones to my 'Want to Read' list.

Jackmeister | 611 comments I've read all the Alex McKnight books except for Let It Burn, which was released July 2nd and I only received in the post yesterday, it is almost my favourite series of all, I'm trying to rush through True Detective by Max Allan Collins so I can get started on it, can't wait.

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments Just finished 'The Hunting Wind', just as good as the previous two. I really enjoy the attention to scene detail - I feel like I could drive right to some of these places (although we tried last time I was in the area, visiting a friend, and it didn't work out so well!)

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments Well, I didn't like Misery Bay as much as the previous three. Still pretty good, and I'm sure I'll pick up more of them pretty soon anyway.

message 9: by Wendy (new) - added it

Wendy | 581 comments He is a favorite of mine too. Although the character is a bit brooding, so I take breaks from him.
