What movie have you watched over and over again?

message 103: by [deleted user] (new)

The Shawshank Redemption- best film ever!

What author do you hate?

message 104: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Anita Stansfield. I think only a couple of people here will know who she is, because she writes mostly religious fiction. But I really hate her books! She reuses the same plot over and over. Her characters are completely unbelievable and the books have way too much drama in them. I can only take the boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl split up for some reason, girl marries boy#2, boy#1 comes back into the picture and boy#2 conveniently leaves the picture (he dies, or is abusive and gets put in jail). boy#1 and girl get married, split up for the same reason they split up in the first place and then boy and girl get back together and live happily ever after. Ugh. And then to top it off she’s super popular! She puts books out on an average of every three months. My customers that come in looking for her books get angry when she takes more than a month to put a book out! I have no idea why she is so popular. Ugh!
Anyway, rant is over. Lol

If you could have any musical artist write a song for you, who would it be?

what would be your perfect day?

message 106: by Matthew (new)

Matthew Wake up around 8, put a leash on my dog and head to the park (Harriman State Park for those who know it), put a chair by the lake and spend the day drinking beer, playing fetch and reading.

What would the world look like if God (insert god of your choice) were a surrealist?

Katerina | 252 comments Very different from this one, that's for sure.

Hmm..that's a tough one. I'd say chai tea from Starbucks.

How tall are you?

Worst Christmas present you've ever received?

message 110: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Actually, I think I might be getting tires for Christmas this year...so I think that will be the worst present ever. Of course my ex got me something really crappy and unimaginative one year, but I don't even remember what it was other than I was disappointed and couldn't figure out why he got me that...

Best Christmas present you've ever received?

message 111: by Matthew (last edited Dec 11, 2009 09:40AM) (new)

Matthew Faxes from Hunter S. Thompson, my cousin is friends with his old assistant. (Btw Lori, 2 years ago I asked for tires)

What should you be doing right now?

message 112: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Well I got it a few weeks early so it was a "pre-Christmas" present. But the best present was my puppy.

What does your desktop wallpaper look like?

message 113: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I seem to have a habit of posting things at the same time as others today....

I probably shouldn't be on goodreads at work, but I don't have anything to work on today. All of my projects are finished. (It's usually slow like this on fridays)

What does your desktop wallpaper look like?

message 114: by Matthew (last edited Dec 11, 2009 09:43AM) (new)

Matthew Picasso, Old Guitarist

What time did you wake up?

message 115: by Lori (last edited Dec 11, 2009 10:17AM) (new)

Lori Walker I woke up at 7:15 today. Usually I'm up around 6:00. (And Matthew, I wouldn't mind tires, but I really want money so I can go to Athens, so I can stop in New York on my way back and go to a Yankees game and so Jamie and I can celebrate our 21st birthdays)

What is your favorite artist/painting?

message 116: by Matthew (new)

Matthew Picasso, Old Guitarist

How do you feel about repetition?

message 117: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments It can be strangely entertaining when you're bored at work.

What is your favorite restaurant to go to that is NOT a chain restaurant and why?

message 119: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Taco Village in Bartlesville, OK because they have the BEST tacos in the whole bloody world. (Jamie, we're going there when you visit!)

What is a good deed you've done recently?

message 120: by Matthew (new)

Matthew I've granted you all the pleasure of my acquaintance

Who is your favorite relative?

message 121: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Well...at least you're modest and humble.

My favorite relative is my papa, who is my mom's dad. He and I, we go way back. He's always been my partner in crime at family functions.

What would be the perfect dinner?

message 122: by Monica (new)

Monica (monbon211) | 89 comments A dinner in which does not have to contain meat. My boyfriend eats meat with almost every meal and I'm getting sick of it. I need more veggies in my life. Or anything cooked in a crock pot. Or anything cooked at Zero 8 (restaurant).

What would be the perfect date?

message 123: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I would have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.

hehe, I couldn't resist. :D

There are so many that I've loved. I have to say my favorite I can think of was actually a triple date, we all went ice skating and then got hot chocolate after. It was a great date because it was fun to be there as a group, but also left some time for me and my date to talk. When he wasn't trying to make me fall so he could laugh...

Who do you get along with better, your Mom or Dad?

message 124: by Matthew (new)

Matthew definitely my mother, we have more in common and are less alike.

what is your hot button issue?

Hahahah!! I laughed out loud when I read that :) Cute.

message 126: by Silvia (last edited Dec 19, 2009 08:30PM) (new)

Silvia (silverware) | 436 comments My hot button issue is using religion as a justification! Drives me nuts! For example using a line in the Bible to justify being prejudiced against homosexuality! This is the same way it was used in the past to justify prejudice and segregation. I need to stop ranting...

What is your favourite joke?

message 127: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker What'd the fish say when it ran into the wall? Dam!

What is your favourite historical time period to read about?

If you were in the Beast's castle at time of enchantment, which household item would you have become?

message 136: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Haha! I love that question Candace! I probably would have become the feather duster. But if we're talking about an item around the house that most closely links to my personality/everyday life...probably a coffeepot.

If you could only own/wear one jewel (ruby, diamond, etc) for the rest of your life, which one would it be?

message 137: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Well, I have near-death experiences every time I get in the car with my mother or grandma. I usually clutch the "oh shit" bar for all it's worth and am really tense. And then I have a drink afterward, so I can calm down.

What is your favorite scent and why?

What is one job you'd never want to have?

message 144: by Tami (new)

Tami | 3103 comments Mod
That is a tough one. I wouldn't ever want to be a doctor. That sounds wierd, but eventually doctors lose a patient, and I don't think I could handle that well.

What is your dream car?

message 145: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Kayla, I would love to own a beetle!

That is a tough question, so many people. But I'll say J.K. Rowling.

If you could have a picture of anything before cameras were invented, what would it be? (camera invented in 19th century)

message 147: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I'd probably cry first, and then tell them everything I've been wanting to talk to them about since they died.

If you could go back in time and see one place when it was new, where would it be? (does that sentence make sense?)

message 148: by Tami (new)

Las Vegas would be fun. I see it now and always think, it would have been awesome during the late 1800's clear up to about the 1950's.

If you could bring one person back from your past to see again, who would it be?

My mom

What is your favorite meal to cook?

message 150: by Lori (new)

Lori Walker Tough one! My first inclination would be spaghetti and sourdough bread with garlic butter on it. With a good wine, of course. But I'm going to have to go with fried chicken, biscuits, and friend rosemary garlic potatoes, all washed down with a glass of fresh lemonade.

If you could go back and relive (not change, just experience again) a single event from your childhood, what would it be and why?
