awesome, thanks for starting this Karen! I was just going to, but I'm glad to see someone else who knows what they're doing did it first.
After seeing all the comments on how good this book is I'm getting excited to start it!

And by the way, I'm currently rereading on audio and am about 80% in. So I'll join in! Woot woot! LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!

Ok, I'm just starting chapter 5, and I'm already so intrigued, I have no idea what the heck is going on! Lol

Ohmygosh! The beginning is crazy! I've never read anything else like it. The dialect was weird at first but grows on you. (view spoiler)[And... Talking dogs? Everyone hears each others thoughts ALL the time with no filter?? Manchee is my all time favorite character!! "Poo. Poo, Todd! Ow? Ow, Todd?". And all the animals talk? "Whirler dog." It's totally crazy, my head is spinning! (view spoiler)[ Manchee is hilarious! I just passed the part where the girl hits Todd in the head and says "and where the hell were you?" to Manchee "poo, Todd". That dog makes me LOL for sure! But eeeek, I need to get back to it, Aaron just showed up!! (hide spoiler)]

I had to fight with myself last night about whether to go to bed when my hubby was or to stay up and read! haha

Sherry, even having read it a year ago, I had forgotten that part. So listening last week, (view spoiler)[I was yelling at my iPhone for Viola to "speak already! What's wrong with you? Why aren't you speaking?" I tend to get REALLY vocal and talk back to the characters. Hahaha... (hide spoiler)]

That's how we roll, Kelly! ;-D I'm pretty good about waiting to read the spoiler tags until I get to that part. But it does make me read faster to get to them. Or at least read rather than watch mindless TV.

Do you ever find that it might be nice to be a vampire, if only for the no sleep thing? If I didn't need sleep, I could spend all my night hours reading. Just a thought. I'm promising myself that when school starts, I'm going to write in the morning and read for at least two hours after. Too many great books to read!

Haha Kelly. I hate to say it (don't tell my hubby!) but I'm always glad when he goes on night shift 'cause then I can stay up super late reading in bed without feeling guilty for keeping him up. Of course I usually pay for it the next morning, but it's totally worth it to power through a book. Which is exactly what I intend to do with this one and a few others when he starts nights tomorrow.

I've had to put the book down for a bit, but I can't even think about it without getting a little teary!

Well I'm done, my heart is still racing and I think I might have to puke. I can't believe that's how the first one is ending!! Thank goodness I have the next one waiting so I'm sure it'll be a late night. Some thoughts on the last few chapters (view spoiler)[ Poor Ben, I really wish we would have been able to get to know him better. oh how I loathe Aaron, what a super creep. Seriously, he better be dead this time! That last fight with him was intense! I'm glad that it was Viola and not Todd that stabbed him. I LOVED how Todd reacted with Prentiss Jr. And getting the horse to run off dragging him, probably my favourite scene. If only Viola wasn't sitting in a ditch shot, sigh. And ugh, mayor (or I guess 'president' gag me!) Prentiss, seriously what is his problem! WTH does he need Todd for so badly. What a wacko! And what kind of city is Haven to just give up so easily?! And I really hope Todd gets his mom's book back, I loved where Viola read it to him. What an amazing gift to have from his mother. (hide spoiler)] sigh, I'm sad to be done this book, and really eager to start the next!!

I finished my reread tonight. It's even better the second time around (maybe because of Nick Podehl, the narrator). Sooooo much emotion!! (view spoiler)[And Aaron!! Every time he yelled "Todd HEWITT" in the last couple of chapters, my stomach would flip flop. Sooooo evil! But then, ohmygawd, when President Prentiss made his appearance at the end, I got evil chills... Ugh, ugh, ugh! (hide spoiler)]

I just finished the second book, holy intense! The action is just never ending in these books eh? I won't comment much since this isn't a buddy read for the 2nd one, but you are so right David, Prentiss is an incredible villain. I hate him!

Wow! You are fast! I read these books when they first came out and still remember the agony of waiting for them to be released! You are so lucky you can read them back to back!

This is definitely action packed. Just when one problem is solved, another one presents :) Scene, sequel, repeat. Ha! This is how I was taught guys, see if you can recognize it:

1) Goal
2) Conflict
3) Disaster

4) Emotion
5) Thought
6) Decision
7) Action

I'm so glad that all of these are out. I've been reading the novelettes for them too, love what they add to the story. I HATE having to wait for the next book to come out (including both of your guys' books David & Kelly! haha) I have postponed reading the Divergent books until Allegient is out so that I don't have to wait in between!

My hubby is working nights, so I take advantage of all the "me time" I can get once my kiddos are tucked in bed. I usally pay for it the next morning by staying up way too late, but when the books are this riveting, it's worth it, haha. I used to spend the time he works nights watching silly tv shows, but now I don't even turn the tv on and usually just enjoy the peace and quiet with my books.

I finished Knife. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
