Hi, I need someone's help with defining the author's primary name, or should I say "English name", the name that goes into the primary author position.

The author's original name is Александр Генис. He writes mainly in Russian, but he has been translated into English.

Some of books under his original name are not linked with any other name, and some have Aleksandr Genis as his primary name.

"Aleksandr" is transliteration of his first name into Latin alphabet, he is listed under that name in the Library of Congress Online Catalog, but the problem is that as far as I know, he published no book under that name in English. The name that's on the covers of his English translations is Alexander Genis "Alexander" is "Александр" transcribed, not transliterated. For reference, Александр Пушкин (Alexander Pushkin) has the very same first name as Mr Genis.

Btw, same author, Aleksandar Genis, translations of his books into Serbian that should be linked with his primary name, whether it's Aleksandr or Alexander.

Sorry if I made this issue seem a little bit more complicated than it really is. :)

As 'Alexander' is used on books and not 'Aleksandr', the primary profile should be 'Alexander Genis'.
