Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 161 comments In America we celebrate Labor Day and Veteran's Day in the Fall Season.

Labor Day: Read a book with a blue collar worker as a main character or has a blue cover.

Veteran's Day: Read a book with a military theme or character.

Or, since the months all end in BER, read an author whose last name ends ber. (which wouldn't be quite so easy to come up with) probably easier to find names that contain BER like Nora Roberts or Bernard Cornwell.

Nope no elephant---I have to find an aligator book. Both of these should be easy to find but have to feel for those looking for wildcats or volunteers!

Kathy G. | 1931 comments Dragons remind me of China. Read a book set in China.

Azure-- makes me think of gemstones- Read a book with a gemstone on the cover.

Costumes--- well this is funny, but homemade costumes are often made out of boxes-- like a robot or a box of crayons. Read a book with a box of some kind on the cover. Box of candy, jewelry box, tool box----

Fall--- trees--- read any book with a tree on the cover.

Apples for the teacher--- read a book with an apple on the cover or in the title. (Or a name of a kind of apple--- Did we have this before??? It rings a bell.)

Bell--- Teacher--- read a book that shows a steeple on the cover.

I love sweater weather---- that's what I call the
fall--- Read a book that shows someone wearing a sweater on the cover.

Thanksgiving--- read a book you read before and absolutely LOVED it and you want to GOBBLE it up again!!! :-)

Deborah | 1668 comments Harvest Moon
Outside the United States, the largest fall equinox celebration happens in China: the Autumn Moon Festival. Within the United States, Chinatowns—like the one in San Francisco, California—explode with celebrations during this ancient holiday to mark the beginning of autumn, the bounty of the summer harvest, and the full moon.

Read a book with a moon on the cover

Or a book about math. I sometimes have a hard time fitting my nonfiction addiction into the challenge.

Vanessa García Polanco (vanessagp16) | 1 comments Historical fiction from another country or culture.
Ex. The House of the Spirits, In the Time of the Butterflies, Persepolis, The Berlin Boxing Club,etc... Something that is not American.

Dee (austhokie) | 8954 comments mostly cause I just thought of this while I was on my ilbrarys website - would work for a 2 book task

read 2 books that have at least two words in the title in common, but they have to appear in a different order

for example:
Iron Heart
Heart of Iron - heart and iron and they are in a different order

Marie-Anne | 950 comments I based my ideas on the theme, Azure Dragon.

Option 1: Azure is a blue/green color. Sometimes Green Dragon or Blue Dragon is also used instead of Azure Dragon. Read a book with a cover that is primarily azure, blue and/or green.
Option 2: The dragon represents the planet Jupiter, the spring season and wood. Read a book with the one of those words (i.e. Jupiter, Spring, Wood) contained in the title or author name.
Option 3: The dragon is considered a divine animal that controls rain and clouds, and benefits all things. Read a book that has rain and/or clouds on the cover OR a fiction non-fiction book about climate or where climate plays a central role.
Option 4: The dragon was also the symbol of imperial power in the East. Read a book set in the East featuring an emperor.
Option 5: The azure dragon has seven mansions. Read a book that is #7 in a series, has a 7 in the title, or has a 7 in the number of chapters.
Option 6: And in homage to the dragon ... Read a book that has a dragon on the cover, the word "dragon" in the title or series name, or the author's initials can be found in the words "Azure Dragon" in any order.
