My Review...
This is one of my all time favorite books! Milada lives in the Czech village of Lidice. She is taken from her home and put in a Lebensborn camp, where she is eventually adopted by a German family. The whole time, she holds onto hope that her family is coming to get her, and she keeps a pin that her grandmother gave her. For me, it is hard to describe in words how good this book is. I first read the book in third grade. I'm older now, but still love the book and try to read it every year. Each time I gain a new appreciation for it. It's a must read!

*I know that we read this in August, but there was no activity, so I placed it on the poll again and it won, so we are trying again with this book!
