What did you think of it?

I absolutely loved this book! I fell inlove with Daemon and his adoreble looks and his sarcastic and witty comments! I could also relate to Katy and see a lot of myself in her. She stands up for herself and kicks ass!
I will admit that there are bunch of cliches in this book, but against all odds, Armentrout makes it work!

Just started reading this. Love the snappy dialogue, and Dee is adorable so far.

Um... finished?!? Devoured in a few hours really. It kept me up until five am, and I just couldn't put it down! I crave more please!

This book is awesome. I love Daemon and Katy's chemistry. I love how they bicker and fight and tick each other off all the time. Also, I really reaaally love that hot guy on the cover.

Amazing book/series, I cannot wait for the book #4 holy fudgeballs, if you read the 3rd book, you would know how much I want the next book!

I devoured the book in one sitting, I absolutely loved the alien concept, and the forbidden love drama thing.This one was one of those Oh-my-gosh-i-want-to-put-the-book-down-but-i-cant sort of book.

you read it really fast... it took 2 days for me to finish it because I read it at work ^^

I soooo agree with you on that one! I found a new obsession, methinks.

I FINALLY got my hands on Onyx and I'm SO excited to read it!! I LOVE that the author put in the little section of Daemon's point of view. He is literally so PERF. I can't even. I'm sad that all the books aren't out, I just know I'm going to go bat crazy when I finish the third one and can't go onto the next...

I just started Obsidian. Enjoying it so far.

One of my favorite series! For some reason I haven't felt like reading Opal yet....

I really enjoyed it! I dove right into Onyx.

Phew! At least i'm not the only one. I think that since things ended so well between them, i don't feel like finding out what kind of drama will get in their way. (because something always does)I'll get to it, but for now, i like to pretend it will always be that peachy for them :3

Not the best YA paranormal series I've ever read but definitely entertaining. I binge read the first one for the book club but then binge read the other two currently out in the series. It was a little bit different then the standard vampire/werewolf/witch paranormal YA books out there nowadays. And I really liked the characters and the chemistry between Katy and Daemon. The writing style was fun, quirky and I really enjoyed it.

They are both seniors in high school but I think she is older. She had her 18th birthday already in one of the books and I don't think the Black siblings have yet.

I wanted to like this book, I really did. But the edition I read had SO many typos and inconsistencies that it was thoroughly distracting. And I know there are different covers for the book, but the one I read made it seem like whoever designed it hasn't read the book. I mean, if you're going to stress that her hair is LIGHT brown and that his is black, don't have her hair be darker than his on the cover!

I'm actually bummed that those things kept me from enjoying the book as much as I would have if there'd been better editing and proofreading. Oh well. It's one of the few series I don't intend to finish. Unless it becomes the book of the month.

I love, love, love this book!!! This is a big thing for me. I'm not really a huge sci-fi reader, but this book drew me in like sugar does to insects! The whole series is amazingly written and well plotted. I'm now just waiting for book 4 to be released and it's a very hard wait!

I wanted to like this book because I loved the idea of it, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll give the next one in the series a shot and see if it grabs me better than the first.

I devoured this book in a matter of hours! I've always, always been a sucker for a hot arrogant boy. I just can't help myself, hot body, dark hair, green eyes, confident, sarcastic, arrogant.... SOLD!!

The story line was very original, something I hadn't read anything like it before and I absolutely loved it! I loved the characters, I loved that they didn't fall in love straight away and that they didnt decide in the first chapter that they were meant for each other! It was so witty and sarcastic and so easy to read. I loved the characters just as much as the story line

is that another book I am going to have to get and it is a series isn't it? If it is then I have to get the whole series boy you people I going to break me. I really need to get me kindle or a nook. Am using my mom's right now. but haven't started reading anything on it yet. Am putting free books on it. I will wait to get my own before I start paying for them since my card is on their and when I give it back to her my card # comes off it.

I absolutely loved this book!

I enjoyed the book. I like the Katy/Daemon dynamic when he was being decent. I HATE how teenage girls continue to fall for and put up with jerky guys. I know that's reality but it still bugs me. Other than that side note, I enjoyed the book and will read the rest of the series.

The fourth book was just released. I read it..as good as the others in the series. I hate how these books all end in serious cliffhangers!! Does anyone know when is the next one going to come out?

I just finished the fourth book as well and I can't wait to see how this series will end! This fourth installment was more serious but it had amazing Katy/daemon moments :)

Just checked out Jennifer's website... 5th book is titled Opposition and will be released next spring/summer 2014 :(

I started reading Obsidian on Tuesday night and finished it on Thursday night. IT WAS SOSOSOOO GOOD!
I ordered Onyx and Opal on wednesday, so I will probably get them on tuesday... ahhh! I'm re-reading Obsidian again whilst waiting!

hated it. too slow and lacked story and had bad characterization. potential concept wasted.

Hey Naoimi there is a book out this month called Alienated by Melissa Landers, it sounds similar :)

I love Obsidian! Love Daemon so much and Kat is really funny! I've started read Onyx but I don't know why it moves slow.

I absolutely love this book. I fell in love with daemon and i can relate with katy. i love all the witty comments and sarcasm. Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my favorite authors if you like this series you will love her covenant series.

Hate the cover, surprisingly really enjoyed the book :)

I have been meaning to read it but my library only has the second and the third one right now and it is driving me crazy.
