Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11460 comments Wanda, some of us joined right at the beginning of the year and are still far from reaching our goal. Don't consider yourself far behind...you are in pace with the rest of us!☺

Interesting list so far, by-the-way.

Thanks for the kind words. I am trying to touch as many genres as possible. Now that I have more time to read, I am trying to break out of my 'reading rut-historical fiction and mystery'. I am also exploring the childrens genre as I have two young grandsons and I want to help them to gain a love for reading.

I claim Mysteries as my genre, but thanks to this group, I have read a huge variety that I wouldn't have been naturally drawn to.

I think you found the right group!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Hi Wanda, I agree with Janice. I have not seen any of these titles before, but some look pretty interesting. I like Historical Fiction too, but I will read anything, even cereal boxes. Sci-Fi and Fantasy are high up on my list, but lately I have been reading a lot of memiors and biographies.

Wanda (wanda71) So glad to hear that my list is interesting. I recently retired from a 35 year career in teaching (history) and is nice to know that I can still facilitate learning!
I just read a really great memoir--Between a Heart and a Rock Place: A Memoir by Pat Benatar. Memoirs and Biographies are fairly low on my list and those of rock stars even lower but this one was a keeper!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I am currently reading Q: The Autobiography of Quincy Jones for my Q book for the ABC challenge. I have only just started though. I read Pieces of My Heart: A Life and thought it was well done. I picked it because I like him. I might look into the Pat Benatar book. Thanks!
