Here we are :
"The Piskies of Cornwall
There are a number of creatures particular to Cornish folklore, although their cousins can be found elsewhere in Britain under a different name and guise. One of these strains is the Piskie also known as a Pixie in other West Country counties.
The Piskie is a general name for a fairy race or tribe in Cornwall. In appearance they look like old men with wrinkled faces, and are small in stature with red hair. They dress in the colours of the earth especially green, using natural materials such as moss, grass and lichen.
Generally the piskies are seen as cheerful creatures with a prankish nature. They are said to be helpful but also mischievous, helping the elderly and infirm whilst sometimes leading the more able bodied traveller astray on the lonely moors. Many stories relate to travellers being led into the wild moorland to become hopelessly lost because of the Piskies.
Often places of ancient worship such as stone circles and barrows were avoided as piskie haunts.
There are many legends attached to the origin of the piskies (and other fairies). Some people saw them as the souls of pagans who could not transcend to heaven, and they were also seen as the remnants of pagan gods, banished with the coming of Christianity. In tradition they are doomed to shrink in size until they disappear.
Another theory suggested they were the souls of babies who had not been Christened, a story championed by early clergymen, and one which has often been used to explain fairy origins"

Just to make cheaper sneakers
But what's the real cost?
'Cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper

Guys I'm so excited! My new breadmaker arrived today and the first loaf is in right now! Can't wait - will let you know how it turns out ;)
exciting stuff - I shall keep my fingers crossed :0)
ha ha well the first attempt didn't work at all. I was trying to make gluten-free bread with an American recipe and I dunno if I converted the measurements wrong or something but it really wasn't right. Will try again with a normal flour and see how it goes.

Yeah - I tend to bite off more than I can chew! (Ha ha I'm so funny) It was pretty horrible - round two will just be an ordinary wholemeal loaf, nothing more so *hopefully* this will come out ok and then I can work my way up to more complicated things ;)

Wow!!!! Was it fun? Did you see any ghosts? I'm really jealous - love spooky stuff ;) Hope you had fun. I know what you mean about the late nights though - I stayed out till 5 a few weeks ago and felt rubbish! And I've only just turned 32 lol - such a lightweight.

Brilliant! Well at least you can say you've done it! Was it a one off or do you go ghost hunting a lot?

I would absolutely hate to see a ghost - even a friendly one.

Got back home Tuesday evening, straight back to work Wednesday, and straight back into a crisis, so the last three days have been hectic. Glad it's the weekend and I have some chance to relax :-)
Lovely to hear you had such a good time Ellie! Hope you enjoy your weekend and that work isn't too much of a pain when you go back on monday ;)
Because of the lush weather we have been really quiet today which made my 9 hour shift seem like twice that long! Will have to pray for rain and hope that brings everyone in cos I much prefer it when it's busy - keeps me out of mischief lol!

Happy weekend everyone!!! I have a whole weekend off! This is crazy as I always have my days off during the week so not really sure what to do with a weekend anymore ;) Am off taking my mum shopping, then I might do some baking later depending on the time. Hope you all have a good one!
Hi folks, sorry for my absence the past week, real life has been pretty crazy busy (and I can't see it letting up a anytime soon). How is everyone????
