This was a very good book. The Block Party was a very ceated way to put everything to a end. I say that because no matter how much you think you dnt like anyone or "hate" someone, a house party, block party, birthday party is always a way to bring joy and happiness to end all situations.

I Vincent winters thinks the book 145th street short stories is about a guy name Big Joe who throws himself a funeral which I think is dumb so that is not a good part of the story but get this it was a party dummy going do it while he was alive go figure. But good thing is he was a very popular person on the streets and he was also known for going after what he wanted he was the type person you could call the go to person. Now his women who was a descent person tried to stop him but did not succeed to bad so sad she tried to stop him from going through with the fake death. But I get why he did it and I think it was because he wanted to see the true side of people or the other side. Although it was a good funeral death should not be taken as the game deal or no deal

Big Joes funeral is about, Big Joe was being an nice man in the neighborhood and he canceled his life insurance and received 18,000 back, he have seen people look good and their casket, so he had an idea he wanted to look good in his casket, but while he still was alive. Big Joe wanted to have a funeral/ celebration just for the fun of it. Big Joe’s girlfriend Sadie did not approve of that at all, neither did her daughter peaches. Sadie husband had been killed by a pedestrian while crossing the street trying to cash his lotto ticket. Sadie thought that since big Joe was going to be lying in a casket he might die anytime. So since Sadie didn’t approve and her and big Joe was going out peaches didn’t like the idea either. They tried to do everything in their power to ruin the funeral, but it still went on and they had a good time and it turned out well.

Kitty and Mack: a love story was about two senior students in high school in love. The love for one another seemed to tear apart when Mack got shot. He couldn’t play baseball anymore and he was really upset about that. While kitty was still by Mack side he didn’t want anyone to be by his side, all he wanted was his space, but kitty was not giving up on her man, she loved him a lot that she just didn’t want to see him throw himself away like this. Kitty didn’t go to school until Mack start back talking to her. Mack couldn’t even walk and kitty knew that he needed her, Mack didn’t realize that kitty was down for him until she really started telling him and explaining herself, so Mack gave in and let kitty finally help him, now that’s true love.

A Christmas story is about how a policeman comes into a little old lady life, at first she was mean to him then she took him in and made him a sweater. She makes everyone sweaters who are nice to her. While the policeman tries to figure out her age he asks her all these questions so he can put his clues together, but in the meanwhile he comes up with nothing. The little lady invited the policeman and his family to her house for Christmas, but he didn’t want to go because of the area she lived in and because he was off duty. While in the mean time the policeman daughter wanted to go visit the old lady and give her a gift. The wife was down for it, but the policeman tried to stop her from going. So on Christmas day the wife and the daughter put on their coats so the policeman asked them where they was going, they told him they were going to the old lady house for dinner. So the policeman tagged along, and they brought happiness to her Christmas, and she also taught the policeman about sharing.

In the story Block Party 145th Street Style Sadie and her daughter peaches is back! This time around peaches is in her feelings because Sadie and Big Joe are about to get married, well that’s not the case. Peaches is mad because she feel as though her mother is forgetting about her father, which is deceased. She think her mother is still suppose to love him and never let him go, that’s true, but she cant keep nothing going to much because her husband is dead so she half to move on. 145th is throwing a block party and peaches isn’t so excited about it. So her friend tries to cheer her up and she still isn’t going for it. She is still mad at her mother a little, but decides to save up $200 to buy her a gift. While at the block party a boy by the name of J.T comes up and peaches just let him have it. So J.T. left and went up out of his business. The block party was still going on and peaches felt bad about what she did to J.T so she made him a plate, she tried to find him and he was on the roof. J.T. didn’t want her to be up there so him and Peaches started fighting. Peaches friend tried to break it up, but she had got hurt also. Then all of a sudden J.T mother and Peaches was in the corner crying and J.T.’s Mother was shivering and crying, so peaches asked her friend to go get big Joe and her mother. The friend went to get big Joe and Sadie they came up and helped J.T mother and gave them a place to live also some food. Finally, big Joe and Sadie had got married and peaches were ok with that after all the drama she put up.
