Hunter had left HQ for a while and was wondering around the docks. He was really bored.
Lana sat, splashing her feet in the water when she noticed a guy. Wasn't he a rebel? She walked closer to make sure.
Hunter sighed and sat down. He kept his thoughts neutral in case there was a mind reader around.
Lana slid close enough o be able to talk to him without anyone noticing, but far enough no one heard. "Are you a rebel?" she asked.
"If I was why would I answer that question anyway?" he said looking at her.
"Because I know one and would be one if I didn't have to take care of my dad. And if you weren't, why have I seen you at HQ?" Lana challenged.
"Touché, But you do know it is very dangerous to admit that to people? What if they told someone?" he asked.
"I'm good at recovering. I say that I was joking. Why should my father need to help when he isn't that old? By the way, the answer is that he is often discombobulated and is constantly loosing things." Lana said to the boy. "By the way, what is your name?"
"My name is Hunter," he said. He hoped he had not just made a huge mistake giving out his real name but he could always change it if necessary.
"Hello, Hunter. I am Lana." she said.
He nodded. He didn't really speak much. He was more the silent type.
Lana looked at him. He was cute, but seemed to not be the type most, if any girls would date, and he seemed to thrive there. Could he be... homosexual?
Hunter looked across the water bored. He wished something interesting would happen with the rebels
Lana looked at him rather obviously. She had turned her body towards him and was staring at him intently.
Hunter saw her looking and was a bit confused. He raised his eyebrow and glared.
"What? Can't a girl watch? Sheesh!" Lana said, throwing her hands up.
Hunter carried on glaring. He found actions spoke louder than words.
Lana got up, stomped, and did a cannonball into the water, splashing him.
He looked annoyed. Stupid immature people. He glared at her more.
Lana resurfaced and glared right back, with just as much, if not more, intensity.
Hunter smirked before glaring again. If she thought she could beat him she was mistaken.
Lana glared at him, keeping her mind on other things. I wander where Matty is right now. And what's going on between Yula and Brogan? Did they really go that far?..., she thought.
This was childish he thought. He sighed as he daydreamed about a hot guy.
Returning to the present, she realized that his eyes had lost a bit of intensity and now had a dreamy look on his face. She stared instead of glaring. She moved over to the sand, drawing his face in it.
Hunter didn't notice lost in his own world.
Lana sat, drawing in the sand. His whole face had changed with his thoughts.
Hunter carried on daydreaming. He normally only day dreamed if he was in his own as he had a reputation to maintain.
Done with her drawing, she felt cruel letting him seem so... daydream- y. "Hunter? You won." she said softly.
Hunter was jolted out of his daydream by Lana. " What? Oh right good," he said. He heard a male voice speak and nodded to him not replying.
Hunter sighed. " The names Hunter," he said to the boy.
Lana walked away, glancing at the boy- James. She smiled, but in a sad way. Hopefully he would have more of a conversation than she did.

Chole sat at the edge of the water, swirling her feet in the water. She had managed to a baby sitter for her daughter, Lilian, and a day off from work. And this is how she spent her birthday alone.

Chloe smiled softly, "I've never seen you around much." He looked around her age so they should be in the class at school.
Chloe nodded, he seemed shy, "So tell me something about you." she said seeing she would have to carry out their conversation
