I don't think goodreads cares if cover shows initials without periods or not, initials on goodreads get periods. Usually if there's to be an exception (for example if the "I" was a full name versus an initial, title or degree) there's librarian note from staff, usually Rivka, visible in author profile when editing. Without note, librarians running across profile would just keep changing back when spotted. Sometimes the librarian note on some of the non-English names will be from one of the foreign language librarians because it's something specific to that language, like the "y" or "d" with surnames not being initials. I'm not comfortable with these (Indian?) names myself to know if the "I" means something.

Yeah but this one might be a full name and surname with those strange one-letters. "I" with dot means it is initial - shorter version of name. And I'm not sure what to do with people who really have such name? I checked on amazon for ISBN, but couldn't find one. On world cat I Found this ISBN

and there is just "I".
But in my opinion Amazon or WorldCat is not good reference becouse i saw there a lot of initials without a dots. Again confused :)
