Sarah | 16 comments Hi, my name is Sarah, and I'm a Kristen Ashley/Alpha Male addict.

Unfortunately I've found it really difficult lately to feed my addiction and to my great despair I just find it more and more difficult to find a good book that grabs me from the start and keeps me up at night unable to stop reading. I need help!!!

Some of my favourite authors are Kristen Ashley, R.L Mathewson, Elle Aycart, Susan Elizabeth Philips and Julie Garwood.
I love their alpha males. I love their protective and possessiveness and how they always have a soft spot for the heroine. Although they at times can be jerks, they are never really mean.
I also really like most of their heroines - they're sweet and funny girls, but no weak "walk all over me" girls.

Some very big no, no's for me is cheating, angst, dark/depressing crap, cliffhangers or menages, also preferably not paranormal, teenagers or man whores (ugh!).

So, I'm picky and and hard to please... But please, please if you've read any awesome books with sweet alpha males and sweet h's please help me!

Lovetoread | 25 comments Hi Sarah, have you tried author Bella Andre, if not start with her Sullivan family series. I guarantee you will be up all night. Love all her books. Catherine Anderson has a series called Kendrick/Coulter series starting with Baby Love also love this author. I am also a great fan of Kristen Ashley love her Colorado Mountain series. I love both contemporary and historical reads and I also dislike the Para-normal along with the ménage and cheating. If you want a great historical read I can recommend those also.

Amy (alt623) | 3 comments I just finished Elaine Levine's Red Team series there are three so far, really good they have everything you asked for. Don't pay a lot of attention to the first two covers not sure why she used cowboys!

Thank's. I've read a couple of Bella Andre's books. One was ok (Candy Store) and the other one Game For Love, was pretty good. I've been looking at the Sullivan series. Do you have to read them in order?

I love Julie Garwoods historical romances, as well as Julia Quinn. Would love some historical romance recommendations if you have some!

Malinda (malindad) I love KA and some of the other authors you mentioned so hopefully we'll have similar tastes. I would have more recs but you said no PNR on menage so here's what I can think of right off hand...

I'm not listing any KA because I"m guessing you've already read them all. This book is the book that caused me to try KA's books for the first time and it's awesome. Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde Horse is a badass but also ends up very sweet. My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
When you read this check out the author's website because there's a snipit on there with a scene from the book from Horse's PoV.

I recently read Boomtown by Lani Lynn Vale and it does have some editing mistakes and such (new author's first release) that you'd have to ignore but I really liked it and the characters. My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

More than Meets the Ink (Bowen, #1) by Elle Aycart James is an awesome sweet alpha male! My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Take Me Under (Dangerous Tides, #1) by Rhyannon Byrd Ben is a sexy, possessive alpha male. My Review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

More Than Words by Karla Doyle Travis is great! My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Skin Deep (Skin Deep, #1) by J.M. Stone Luke = hot alpha + sweet. :D My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

From Rags by Suzanne Wright Both the hero and heroine are very strong in this one. My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Hot Ride by Kelly Jamieson Hot undercover agent in a MC club in this one. My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings, #3) by Cherrie Lynn Seth is...OMG *fans self* My review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Hope this helps.. :D

Lovetoread | 25 comments Hi Sarah, I would read the Sullivan Family in order. Even though they are complete stories in themselves their are family members mentioned or revisited carrying on in their lives.
1. Look of Love
2. From this Moment One
3. Can't help falling in Love
4. I only have eyes for you
5. If you were mine
6. Let me be the one
7. Come a little bit closer
8. Always on my mind
9. The way you look tonight

I love this series. I am a fan of Bella Andre and have read all her books. Another series you should look into is the Virgin River series by Robyn Carr. These like Ms. Andre are stand alone stories but you should start and read in order because people in the small town are mentioned and their lives go on, babies etc....Enjoy.

Amy (alt623) | 3 comments Yes Sarah read in order. Not sure what you read on but those are all lendable I have a nook so if you have that or an iPad you can lend them from me. [email protected]

message 11: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Bland | 19 comments Untouchable (Untouchable, #1) by Lindsay Delagair Unforgivable (Untouchable, #2) by Lindsay Delagair Untraceable (Untouchable, #3) by Lindsay Delagair EXCELLENT series.

Taking Shots (Assassins, #1) by Toni Aleo Trying to Score (Assassins, #2) by Toni Aleo Empty Net (Assassins, #3) by Toni Aleo Falling for the Backup (Assassins, #3.5) by Toni Aleo Blue Lines (Assassins, #4) by Toni Aleo (due Sept 23rd) This series has everyday problems that people encounter. Strong men. Strong Women. Very relatable.

Historical Romance: Try anything by Monica McCarty. There are two trilogy's about siblings. Then her latest his The Highland Guard Series. Although they are stand alone books, I recommend reading in order because characters appear in each book. Also, read her "Author's note" section. She explains the real life events she used in her stories. Very interesting. Also, on her web page is pictures from the actual places that she is talking about. It is AWESOME to see strong women stand up too and bring strong Scottish Highland Warriors to their knees over love.

Tori | -10 comments Hi I'm also a total Kristen Ashley fan and am stuck for similar reads. The Sullivan family looks good but I'm wondering if they are as hot and steamy as KA reads can be?

Thanks
Tori x

namericanwordcat | 15 comments I would try Neanderthal Seeks Human A Smart Romance (Knitting in the City, #1) by Penny Reid Quinn is hot alpha and Janie is quirky.

uhh, not really. but they are hot, but not as steamy as KA books. Bella Andre other books like the Bad Boys of Football series is much steamier than the sullivan.

I am right there with you and have to be honest haven't found anything similar but here are some authors I like and went back for more:

Lori Foster *really enjoyed the Buckhorn Brothers Series... read in order

Marie Force, like all of her series and Stand Alones

Abbie Glines

Hope this helps!

I love the Assassin's series! I was actually going to recommend it lol. The guys are sweetheart and total alpha males, but they are not jerks. The girls are funny and sweet like you wanted. And like she said it's everyday problems they go through, no dark stuff in them. I would defiantly try this series :)

ℸℎℯrℯᏕα (wwg1wga) | 41 comments Julie James' FBI/US Attorney Series have H's who in my opinion are Alphas. Here's the first book Something About You (FBI / US Attorney, #1) by Julie James .

Paganalexandria | 118 comments This is hard because it seems like all the books I love have some depressing back story or feature a man-whore. LOL

message 26: by namericanwordcat (new)

namericanwordcat | 15 comments Yeah. I am really sick on man-whores lol I need to start a list called Not a Virgin but not A Man Whore. lol

Erin (kippa) | 7 comments Have you read Maya Banks KGI series or Black Knights by Julie Ann Walker?

SB*needs low angst books* | 825 comments Hammer' s Fall by Laurie Roma, Bare it all by Lori Foster, Breathing His Air by Debra Kahn, and Splendor by Janet Nissenson are low angst, alpha males, and no new adult or young adult. I will say that if you like Kristen Ashley then you may like Aurora Rose Reynolds and R L Mathewson.
