All About Books discussion

I have set myself the challenge to read all the books that I have unread around my room. I'm aiming to get them all read by the end of the holidays so I'll say by 7th September.

The books that I have in my room unread are:

2. The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared - Jonas Jonasson
3. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry - Rachel Joyce
4. The Light Between Oceans - M.L. Stedman
5. The Dark Heroine - Abigail Gibbs
6. From This Day Forth - Lyn Andrews (guilty pleasure :))
7. The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexander Dumas ( Still not finished :()
8. The Man in the High Castle - Philip K. Dick
9. The Madonnas of the Almonds - Marina Fiorato
10. You Against Me - Jenny Downham
11. Mansfield Park - Jane Austen (I'm determined to battle through it)
12. Great Expectations - Charles Dickens (re-read)
13. The Last of the Mohicans - J. Fenimore Cooper
14. The Citadel - A. J. Cronin
15. Prince - Rory Clements
16. Far To Go - Alison Pick
17. The Ocean at the End of the Lane - Neil Gaiman

These are no particular order but I am determined to finish them all. I am going to stop myself buying any new books until I have finished these ones first. After I've read them I'll be donating most of them to charity :) I'll keep you all updated on my progress :)

The Light Between Oceans, The Dark Heroine and From This Day Forth have all been completed! I'm just battling my way through Possession at the minute which is dragging me down lol. I'm determined to finish it today and then it is out of the way :)

Thanks everyone! I have a week off this week before I start my new job, so I'm going to try and get loads of reading done. The reason I'm doing it in so short a time is because I have been saying I'm going to do it for months but all I keep doing is buying (or rescuing as I call it) other books. So I've decided I'm going to throw myself in at the deep end :)

Glad you've set this for your for your challenge too, it's so hard not to buy more isn't it? Looks like you've got a nice selection to choose from, I haven't read any of them, though I own Great Expectations - maybe I'll get to it next year!

The Dark Heroine had some good plot ideas I just thought they could have been executed better. It was an easy read :)

I've read The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and The Hundred Year Old Man. Not entirely sure at this point if I'm going to get them all finished lol :)
