There is a limit of 30 books. 3 week loan period with the option of renewal for another 3 weeks. There are some books that cost $1-2 but they have a good range of free fiction & YA/Teen/Children genre all free.
This library also offers free Wi-fi and artwork for hire of $5 for 3 months. They have a children's book club & a sing song group for preschoolers.

sad to hear this :( There should be more than 2."
Um, yes - way more than 2! We have a whole section at my library for YA, like I said, I'm so blessed. And they order what ever I request without bugging me. I like to feel that I'm helping the teen population of my town, LOLOLOL!

I can keep for books for three weeks and can only renew once.

I want a coffee shop in my library! I'd never ever leave!

Do you like Hot Chocolate or Tea? They usually have those too.... LOL.
@Adam, talk to the person in charge of ordering books and see what they need from you to start increasing their catalog. My library has a "request to order" form on line... Never hurts to ask!

@Angela: I dont really like coffee either, but coffee shops are so peaceful in my opinion =D

Like Becky said, you should request books for order. My library has a form you can fill out and they really do order the books you ask them to.

@Adam, ta..."
Tea. (: The B&NIi go to has a coffee shop inside. I sit there to read sometimes because I like the smell of coffee LOL.

Yeah, they are peaceful. I guess it would be nice to have one. (:

LOL, we are soooooooo funny.

For the queens libraries you can take out up to 50 books at any time. You keep them for 3 weeks and can renew them 3 times unless there is a request on the book.
I love the queens library because you can request any book you want regardless if its a hardcover or softcover through the website and have them delivered to your branch. The library will notify you that your requests are in by email and will also tell you how long they will hold the book for you. The you can go pick it up at your leisure.
On the site you can renew your books online as well as pay any fees you owe for overdue books. The site will also notify you by email, telling you that your book is due soon. It emails you a few days before the due date so that you have enough time to get on the computer and renew it. If for some reason you can't renew the book the site will tell you that the book is a "nonrenewable item".
Its awesome! And especially more so for me becuause my mom is a librarian cataloger in the main branch in Jamaica and she can get me any book I want and put it on her card where she can keep it for a long time. She used to do that with my books for my college classes and I was able to keep them for a semester!

Although we have a 15 cent fee for each day late, which adds up quickly if you get busy :/

Our school library is okay since they're getting new books all the time and good ones!

It is very mordern, you have to beep your books and all that, and you return them it is through a machin, that puts them in the right catergory. It works really well. They have a lot of Danish children books, and adult books, but they dont have a lot of books for my age (teenager)
And they barely have any english books for young folks. So usually when I want to read an english book I have to order it on Amazon.
But all in all it is an okay libary.
There is a 3 week limit, and no book limit- I would die if there were!!

That is what my library is like. :) the librarians know us because we go there so often, and there's a really high book limit. Plus my library card works for like fifteen different libraries because they're connected, so i can get books in a ton of different places!

Know that feeling my library is a bit like that, use to be really good they then moved it to a college now its half the size with not very good books. And the books that are good are hard to get in plus we have that stupid book limit too. Also never really get any peace in the library due to people not really wanting to read in there just on the computers which is really irritating.
So I feel your pain I too have my own mini library at home :)

The variety is quite wide, but since I live in Sweden, it can take some time for them to get the new releases in english.

Oh wow! That's a ton of books! LOL My most recent find is the San Francisco Public Library that is 6 stories tall! SIX FLOORS! I'll never make it off the first floor. LOL The books are loaned for 3 weeks and I think (if I remember correctly) I can keep them for 3 weeks but can recheck them out 4 times.

When I checked out books, it would allow you to renew three times! So I could essentially read and reread a book for up to 6 weeks!
I have to get to my local library and see if it is anywhere near as awesome as the Stoughton Library was/is. Sadly, it's an hour from my house, so I have no reason to go there anymore. :(

Our other library is smaller but it was all new also. A lot of space, modern design and lots of new material.
When the flood came through our town, the library was in its path. It was so sad to see everything ruined but now, it's nice to have two great libraries.

So anyway, I got to know my librarians really well, and whenever I want a book, usually if I drop a couple of hints, one of them will probably get it for me and I'll be the first to read it(though I usually feel really bad about doing that, and rarely ever do that. My sister has no such qualms).
It's really small, compared to some I've seen, and it doesn't have a great selection of books. Which is why I sometimes get frustrated, especially when I have to wait months after the books come out to read it, even when I do order it from another library in the system. And recently they renovated the teen section, which I don't really like because its really crowded. The children's section is bigger than the teen section.
But I still love it though, probably because I've been going there since I was 5.

The only thing I don't like is that they have computers for kids to play Counter Strike etc. I just don't feel like that's appropriate.

My new one is near an urban area, and there must be a dozen branches that feed into the network. So my local branch might not have the book I want, but I just put a hold on it and then a day or two later they drive it over for me from a different branch. Love it!
You can also check out up to 100 books... though I can't imagine ever getting near that limit!

The Miami County Library is on the small side, but has a decent selection of YA books.
I think you can only get up to 25 books. (unlike in LaGrange County where you could get 100)
You get the books for 3 week except for the 14 day books they have that you can check out.

At my school library, the librarian is obsessed with getting kids to read so she constantly restocks the YA books..makes me really happy. xD
I love my library.
Its been getting really good lately. 5-6 years ago it wasent that good. but they have remodeld lately and gotten better books, so now I love it.
and you can order books from libraries around the country too and get them at the local one.
books from my local library, one month. books from other library 3 weeks.
I use my library all the time.currently I have 3 books from the library but waiting on 10.and no,no limit on how many you can borrow.

There's a two week limit but then the limit can be extended to half a year.

Of course now I am addicted and brought home 11 books. There is no limit to the physical books I can borrow and I can borrow them for 3 weeks.
Ebooks and audiobooks have a limit of 10, for two weeks.
The local libraries are great about sending copies to other branches to make getting my books more convenient.
