Brittany (lostduchess) A book that stands on its own. A fast paced, fun book that's not part of a series. I have too many series that I need to keep up with & too many I need to start. Any suggestions?

Nightseer by Laurell K. Hamilton. Fantasy from back in the day--a stand alone and a very good book.

Mlpmom (Book Reviewer) (mlpmombookreviewer) | 839 comments Are you looking for a specific genre or just any stand alone?

Lorna | 56 comments Wallbanger has one of the funniest scenes that I have ever read in a book. Enjoy! A bit racy but if you don't mind that, I think you will love it!

I read that one too , wohooohoooo it was a hot book . I am currently searching for something to live up to my expectations after these two ...

Rox | 69 comments Although it isn't a stand alone book (there are 2 books ), I really loved Here Be Sexist Vampires (Deep In Your Veins, #1) by Suzanne Wright . It was very funny , the female character was strong and witty and I just loved her , not to mention the hero who's just adorable ... You can read the first book without reading the second .

Brittany (lostduchess) Any stand alone. Doesn't matter :)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments A lot of Nora Roberts' romantic suspense books are stand alones. You might try one of hers. I loved Carnal Innocence. I also enjoyed Jayne Ann Krentz's pre-Arcane books like Trust Me and Grand Passion. You can find these in the library.

Leandra Azer (azerjaban) | 68 comments ... Am I the only one who dnf Wallbanger? Got to around 40% and stopped. It just didn't have enough plot to keep me interested, and it slowed WAAY down on thier trip and never brought out more than a small smile for me.

A book I remember literally LOL in would be Nina Bangs Wicked Nights

message 19: by Oleander (new)

Oleander | 94 comments Wicked Nights is on my wish list, as is the whole series. I like Nina Bangs

She's a little...weird to get used to. Definitely a unique writing style.
