Steve (smckinney) | 22 comments Is it really a good practice to add 'hypothetical' books such as Untitled? Seems dubious to me.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments That does seem to be a bit much. You can request to have the book deleted and Rivka will give you a better idea.

It has already been shelved by close to 1000 users, and if deleted, will just be added again.

Until it's definite either way, it can stay.

Steve (smckinney) | 22 comments I wasn't really angling to have it deleted at this point, just wondering whether there was a policy about such additions. For instance, Jim Butcher has said there will most likely be 6 more 'Dresden Files' books, followed by an 'apocalyptic trilogy'; should they be added or not? I like the odds of those better than the 8th 'Song of Ice and Fire' book that George R. R. Martin has said he will probably *not* write.

In general, adding 1 or 2 probable books in the future seems reasonable. And any books with an actual publisher contract, ISBN, etc. are fair game.

More than 1-2 books out it gets a bit ridiculous, but we'd evaluate on an individual basis. Books that excited fans have added and that has been shelved by 100s of users would be different than a book that has been shelved by 5 people.
