Introductions!

I'm excited that you are excited :D That sounds like an uber cool story. Welcome aboard, I look forward to hearing more about it ^-^
Hello Deb! I hope you find the group useful as you get used to the site :] It's a pain in the bum so don't worry you aren't alone! Grats on your wordcount goal! :D

Hi! I'm new to Goodreads, and I'm procrastinating. Looks like a terrific community of readers and writers here, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. :)
Woo new members! :D Welcome Marissa, M.C., Deb, Patricia, and Madison! You'll find lots of awesome peoples here and thus will fit in yourselves ^^ *hugs*

I'm currently over my head with marketing which isn't exactly my favorite part of the creative process, all the while trying to find time to start another novel about a blossoming serial killer, the Apocalypse, and the strange manner in which the two are related to each other. So from a new adult romance to a violent end of the world novel - I have no desire to write the same story (or genre) twice!
So, that's me in a nutshell (I'll leave you to imagine the Austin Powers joke if you're in the mood to groan.) It's wonderful to meet you all!

I love fantasy and dystopian novels, and I will, one day, write my own epic fantasy novel. Until then, I'm brooding over having to wait indefinitely for the next instalment in the GoT series. :(
Hello Patricia, procastination is great. Very underrated in my opinion. Hope you enjoy the group! :D
Hi Madison, I must admit I've not put all my books on the site yet because it will take so long :x Good luck with your writing! :D
Welcome Micheal! I hope you find the forum helpful and enjoy your stay ^-^
Hi Natasha! Congrats on your release :D GoT isn't coming fast enough and last year I missed the casting call for it, so I'm going to look at every tall, pretty girl with long hair in the background with a jealous scowl.

Whoa. So if you make the call this year, I could actually know someone from the GoT cast??? You're my new best friend.
It was a call for extras xP I reaaally wanted to go but I heard about it the day after they happened, haha.

Extras are just as good in my book. But you're still my new best friend for ALMOST making it to the cast.

In fact, I may just write you into my next book. :)

I am writing a fantasy novel loosely based on Hawaiian mythology. No I am not Hawaiian, but I do hula dance. Thank you for inviting me :)

You know those people who have terrible cry faces? People whose face twists like they just tasted a sour lemon because they're fighting the tears instead of just letting them fall? That's me. Not a pretty picture, better just to avoid it. ;-)

I'm Andrew, and I write all sorts of stuff. A lot of short fiction, but also the odd bit of freelance journalism, and most recently a novel length translation of an 18th Century French book by none other than Casanova.
I wander around promoting my books in a very desultory fashion, but I always feel a bit tawdry about it, so it's nice to join a group where I'm not allowed to promote a darn thing and can just talk about writing and things. Hurrah!
Bonjour et bienvenue Andrew! :D (that's about the extent of my French if it's even right lol) Glad to have you aboard and looking forward to talk ^^

That sounds like a new story idea...sorry random idea popped in my thoughts. :)

Lol. Thanks Kelly.....you'd better write it quick before someone else spots the opportunity!

I'm Rachel from Pittsburgh, PA and I'm an aspiring author. My genre of choice is adult paranormal romance, and I hope to connect with other writers to discuss, well, writing!
I've tried some other writing/author groups on Goodreads but haven't quite found the right fit so far. I saw some of this group's posts in my update feed and thought I'd join to see what was up! ☺
My current WIP is the first in a series about wolf-like shifters and I'm just over 58k words in. Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to chatting with you all, especially any other romance writers hanging out in here!

Thanks!
*fingers crossed*
Hey Rachel, welcome aboard, there are wolf shifters in my current wip :3 hope you like the group :]!

I do love shifters...

I write fantasy: ghost stories mainly, btw, and must say, it's really nice to be part of a group that doesn't want authors to promote. Self-promotion is so exhausting, dahling. :)

My name is Marissa and I am currently writing a series called The Pull, the first novel is out and the second novel is due to be released. My series is a paranormal mystery/thriller with a twist. I love to read (what writer doesn’t?) I can't get enough of reading fiction of all genre's. I also like providing reviews because it generally leads to discussion of books... and talking about stories I've read is almost as much of a high as reading!
I am looking forwarding to reading the posts from this group. Have a wonderful day!
