I'm Cristina, co-founder of The Sprint Shack, a blog all about writing and word sprinting on Twitter (not sure if links are okay here or too self-promot-ey, so I won't add, but if you follow me on Twitter at @CRGuarino you can find it!). I followed Bisky a whiiiile ago when I first started getting into the word sprinting scene!
I'm currently working on a YA novel I wrote in NaNoWriMo 2013 called Undergound, about a girl in college who gets pulled into the underground rock scene in New York City and discovers a whole lot about friendship, family, and loyalty as a result.
Nice to e-meet everybody!

I was sad because of short news I watched on TV on last Tuesday; "The researchers have designed a system that can save passengers' lives when an aircraft will be crashed." A small animation show of it was broadcasted and I called; "Look, they have designed my idea."
This system was exactly what I had suggested to be designed and I had tried to show it to someone for months. However; although I had contacted to tens of aerospace companies and producers of aircraft parts around the world; but they didn't reply to my emails. That day I got so upset and I tried to find out how they have got it from my notebook but I couldn't understand this. I hadn't sent it for anyone except a website that I'm not sure they would do this. …
Now I want to thank this group because a topic here caused me to get better when I was so sad. Now I'm glad that one of my ideas may be made and it may save passengers' lives. Of course I haven't got wealth but I had caused a small change to this world. A reason I wrote these words here is that comment and another reason is that all members of this group are real friends of each other who always spend their time helping other members. I should be thankful to Bisky, Nicole, G.G. and others. Well, my brain always seeks for positive points of bad events and misfortunes. When a very bad occasion happens for me, I often whisper; "what can be the benefits of this event; or what's a solution for it?"
I have posted a copy of my idea on this site that you can see it through below address and I hope one day we can be witnesses it will be installed in airplanes.

Hello and welcome Kylie.
No sadly, we get a post once in a while but nothing much anymore. It's not to say that it can't be revived. :P

you're already helping by posting :P Usually all it takes is a few posters to revive a group. ;)
I'm hoping our dear Bisky will be coming back soon. Let's just say she had loads going in real life and can't be blamed for not having time to stop by anymore.

My name is Gavin and I started writing to just kinda test the waters of something I've always wanted to do. I didn't pursue it for the longest time for a couple of reasons, 1) didn't think I was capable, being dyslexic, and always hating English (language Arts) all through school and 2) It was a commitment and never have I stayed on one project for a significant amount of time in my life.
So what started as a really crappy book (30,000 in and of course at the time it was the next great masterpiece) turned into another idea for a book, again crap but better crap (and still the next great masterpiece) and paralleled with that second attempt, I wrote a ton of micropoetry on twitter. That was a huge help with my novel writing and word selection.
And all that prepared me for my third attempt at a book and BAM. About a year later I completed it. What a thrill when you complete your first book. Now getting it published, that's another story but to be fair to myself, I've only scratched the surface in my attempt.
Looking back now, It's hard to imagine never not writing. So as I wait for rejection letters (I've gotten one so far), I am writing my first SiFi which really isn't a SiFi, it's, realistic fiction with a dash of Sifi.
Also to note: I'm male and all my books have a female MC and all have been FP PoV.

Hey Gavin! Thanks for joining :3
I'm also dyslexic *fist bump* :)
It was a shock for me at how much I had to learn about querying publishers, it's almost as complex as writing the novel itself at times.
Well...for me anyway :p
Welcome aboard!

I've just finished reading 'Twenty Love Poems and A Songs of Despair' by Pablo Neruda and I loved that book!
I've recorded an audiobook without noise filters in natural circumstances so as to be felt as forthcoming from a broken heart. Just for retrospection.
Here's the Google Drive Link
Feedbacks are most welcome!
Good Day,
Yash

Writing a good comics is as tough as a good short story. They both have to make instant impact.
