Thanks! I might need some help as English is not my mother tongue, so maybe some people in this group will be kind enough to correct me :)

Thanks :) Good luck with your novel. I love reading Urban Fantasy it's my favorite. Along with Paranormal
@Quanisha Hello! Welcome aboard :3 I also like writing in all genres, I think variety in writing can help mix all the best bits together in your novels :3
@Sandy, don't ever hesitate to ask for help :3

No problem :3 I'm sorting the topics into folders tonight so its easier for people to post topics themselves :3
Hope I didn't confuse everyone :x Its just in folders now for books and writing. I won't be upset if you post in 'wrong' folders I might just shuffle them about abit :p
just main difference is off topic or not really :3

Hi, thanks for the invite. I feel I'm part of some secret group (On a not so secret website) haha.
I'm from Australia. I'm roughly 20,000 words into my first novel 'Paper Plane'. It's about a young man (falsely) accused of rape and his inability to let women get close to him. I'm loving the experience of writing a first novel. Learn so much about myself and the craft! I'm enrolled at Macquarie University studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Media.
Thanks! :D

That sounds like an emotionally hard write! Best of luck with it :3

My name is JM Guillen. I spend most of my time trying to enslave western civilization and experimenting with armies of drones and cloned dinosaurs. My super-villain name is "The Pen-Dragon".
I also tend to write a bit.
My work is published through Irrational Worlds, an evil publishing conglomerate based on the Daedalus space station. Currently it consists of four novellas. These range from:
A fantasy romance, about a priestess of passion and desire...
to
A steampunk detective story, with more than a dash of suspense...
to
A science fiction/spy romp battling against cthulian horror...
to
A modern faerie tale about the embodiment of Autumn, hunting the shadows of our world...
My work is all interconnected, and the stories contain strands of each other. I'll admit that it's more than a little bit of a game for me, and I try and make it fun WHILE enslaving the masses. I am currently working on the steampunk/detective story, and expanding it into a series.
An evil series. With a dark and terrible purpose.
Just so everyone knows, I am on the hunt for books to review. I am specifically requesting .Mobis from goodreads authors for this nefarious task. You should be aware, however, that as a super-villain, my reviews have a bit of a slant.
If you'd like a review, message me up. I'll happily give you one.*
*Secret catch
Hello! Thank you Bisky for the invite! :)
I am writing a PN/Sci-fi series called The Legacy.
I love to read and review but I wished days had more than 24 hours!

Would love to hear from other authors about their experiences etc

It's always so exciting to connect with other writers. I am very pleased to be a part of this group, and to get to know you all! :)
I'm currently writing a Post-Apocalyptic/Dystopian SciFi for the YA genre. To put it frankly, it's radical, and likely the BEST book idea I've ever had.
Whenever I'm not writing, I'm reading. And whenever I'm not doing either of the aforementioned, I'm EDITING. I have a degree in English (and Psychology, but that's another story), with an emphasis on Grammar.
Writing is quite literally all that I'm good at -- so, let's hope I can pull through and get something published! :)

Thank you, Bisky, for starting this group. I look forward to getting to know each of you.

You're very welcome and thank you for joining. Its so exciting you are just starting! I wish you the best of luck and let me know if you need help with anything :D
(Im gonna be on goodreads alot tonight as I'm having a troll wave on twitter :'( )

I'm Robert James. I'm a teacher and a writer (WHO Won?!? An Irreverent Look at the Oscars -- v. 1: 1927-1943 and v. 2: 1944-1952 available now, v. 3 almost done).
I've also done considerable work on science fiction, particularly Robert Heinlein.
As for reading, these days it's mostly research, but I love literary works, as well as the fun stuff (SF, Fantasy). I read a lot of history (I teach AP US and World History).
Looking forward to getting involved in some of the discussions here :)

It's Chris Winterberg. I enjoy writing speculative fiction. I appreciate twists and ambiguous in endings. In my works, people sometimes get killed, or do they?
Hi, Chris! Welcome!
I recently learned the term speculative fiction, and I wonder if that fits my writing? Ambiguity is great--especially in creepy stories. :3

I am Samuel...Samuel S. B. At the moment I am writing The Broken Throne: Fire and Blood. It is number two of a planned series called The Broken Throne.
It is nice to meet all of you and I hope to enjoy the love of books and writing

I definitely will...been looking for writer groups...They are really helpful
Yeah I know, one of the reasons I wanted to create one so bad! :D Everyone here is so awesome :3

I... don't actually have anything big right now. Two draft-zero Nanowrimo novels that I have yet to get back to, a bunch of fanfic (some finished, most ongoing sandboxy-type things), endless ramblings and snippets and threads...
I've not written for a while either. But even if my dream of making a career out of it must be gently recalabrated, I can't imagine I'll ever stop completely. It's too much fun.
hi Julia :D
I think writing for yourself is most important, you never know when inspiration to write something big might suddenly strike! Welcome to the group :3
