My Mariah's Marriage is historical, a little bit exciting and, I think, clean - no ripped bodices. It's here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mariahs-Marri... and also on amazon.com Anne

I need to check out your books! Which ones would you recommend for a first time reader of your work who likes historical suspense? (that's me :)

I was also fascinated by the historical info in both Angels and Demons and the DaVinci Code. Now I can't wait to read 'Deception Point' and 'Inferno'.

Lis Wiehl is a great suspense/thriller author. Very clean.

Question...'what IS "spiritism"?

I liked Angels and Demons and DaVinci Code, but I have to disagree about violence. Angels and Demons was one of the most graphically violent books I've ever read. It turned my stomach on more than one occasion, but was so compelling that I kept reading. I just wouldn't want someone to read it and be blind sided by the content.

Oh like seances and those who believe a departed's ghost has spoken to them, thank you for explaining that,as I had never heard or read that term before.

Have to confess though that I like a good ghost story like those by Mary Downing Hahn, which are YA.
Oh and I also agree that Angels And Demons had some pretty strong violence, yet I still thought it was an excellent read!

Just a short of list of his best works:-
Guns of Navarone
Force 10 From Navarone
Circus
Puppet on A Chain (a slightly violent scene here. More than his usual)
Fear Is The Key
Ice Station Zebra
Golden Rendezvous
The Way To Dusty Death

Wow, just noticed this is a really old thread! Oh well, maybe some will be glad to get new thriller suggestions.
