I'm hoping someone here might know what book I'm looking for. I read it probably in the early 1990s, but it could have been written decades before that; in any case, it's not a newer book.
I don't remember the title or the author's name, unfortunately, but I remember something about the plot: It was about a woman (I'm pretty sure it was a woman) who was trapped on a farm because there was suddenly some invisible barrier she couldn't pass that went all around the property. She could see the outside world, which was frozen in place (people were like statues and such) but she couldn't reach it. I remember a part where she was walking around the perimeter of the barrier, to test how far she could go.
Unfortunately, I don't remember any more than that. Hopefully this will ring a bell for someone, though.
