100+ Books in 2025 discussion

I am hoping that I can read more then 100 books since I am running out of places to keep them. I have had a book of some kind in my hand as long as I can remember. I am a big mystery reader but will try just about anything at least once. I have found some really good authors/genre this way.

41. Deadly Night by Heather Graham. This is a new author for me...this is book 1 of the Flynn Brothers Trilogy. So far it is a very good book.

Deadly Night turned out to be a very good book...I really liked it...could not put it down most of the time...fell asleep with it in my hands a couple of times. Now on to the next book in the trilogy.

42. Deadly Harvest by Heather Graham. This is book 2 in the Flynn Brothers Trilogy. It was as good as the first book in the series...I would recomend it to anyone who like paranormal,mystery and a little bit of a love story thrown in for good measure.

43. Deadly Gift by Heather Graham. This is book 3 in the Flynn Brothers Trilogy. Not as good at the first two but still a good book.

44. The 8th Confession by James Patterson. A little bit confusing at the begining but it finally comes together about half way through the book. Very quick read.

45. The Remains of the Dead by Wendy Roberts. I am over half way through this one and should be able to finish it this weekend. It has been a very good read...the author has made the main characters interesting...I will have to find the next book in this series...

46. The Death and Life of Superman by Roger Stern. I picked up this book last night...have only read about 30 pages and so far it is okay but not really a book that is going to be on my top 10 list unless something happens soon.

47. Scarpetta by Patricia Cornwell

48. A Killer Collection by J. B. Stanley. This is book one of the Collectible Mystery series. Very good book...

49. Mind Prey by John Sandford. Book 7 of the Prey Series with Lucas Davenport. Very good series and this one has got to be the best so far.

50. Gone Forever: A True Story of Marriage, Betrayal, and Murder by Diane Fanning.

51. Sudden Prey by John Sandford. Each time I read one of the books in this series I think it is the best one in the series...each one seems to be better then the last one.

52. Rise of the Ancients - Annuna by J. C. De La Torre.

53. Sweet Revenge by Diane Mott Davidson.

54. Illegal by Paul Levine. This is a really good book...got it from Goodreads Early Reads give away...

56. Secret Prey by John Sandford.

57. Certain Prey by John Sandford. Book 10 of the Prey series. These are really good books...well written...keeps me going from the minute I open the book until I find the end...hard to put down even at night to go to bed.

58. Blue Smoke and Murder by Elizabeth Lowell. New author for me...very good story...kept me turning the pages all of the time...

59. The Alchemyst (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel) by Michael Scott.

60. Easy Prey by John Sandford Book 11 of his Prey series. Really liking this series...very good books if you like serial killers and the sick stuff they do to people. Sandford is a very good writer and keeps me turning pages fast.

61. The Ghost and the Dead Man's Library by Alice Kimberly.

62. Evermore by Alyson Noel. The Immortals book 1. Got this as part of the Goodreads Early Release program. Young Adult book...very good. Thinking of looking for book 1.

63. Chosen Prey by John Sandford. Prey series Book 12. I really like this series...wonder if I am just a sick person to like serial killer type books???

64. Dying to Call You by Elaine Viets. This is Book 3 of the Dead-End Job Mystery series.

65. A Hard Rain by Dean Wesley Smith. This is a Star Trek the Next Generation book. Different style of writing but good none the less.

66. Armed and Glamorous by Ellen Byerrum. This is a Crime of Fashion Mystery. Can't believe some of the trouble that Lacy Smithsonian gets herself into...

67. Angel's Advocate by Mary Stanton

68. Jump Cut by Max Allan Collins. This is a Criminal Minds Series, based on the characters from the TV program.

69. You Bet Your Life by Christine T. Jorgensen. Stella the Stargazer Series.

70. Mortal Prey by John Sandford. Book 13 of the Prey Series. I am slowly working my way through this set of books. They are really good.

71. A Killer Stitch by Maggie Sefton. This is book 4 of the Knitting Mystery series.

72. The Reformed Vampire Support Group by Catherine Jinks

73. Exposed by Alex Kava. This is a Maggie O'Dell book...I think it is number 6 but not sure. Very good kept me turning the pages. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

74. Naked Prey by John Sandford. This is book 14 of the Prey Series.

I picked up a couple of other books in between the last two books but was not able to get into them or finish them so am not going to count them as books I have read for this challenge.

75. Hidden Prey by John Sandford. Lucas Davenport series, Book 15.

76. The Clockwork Teddy by John J. Lamb. Bear Collector's Mystery, Book 4. Very good book...love the whole series so far.

77. A Necessary Evil by Alex Kava. This is a Maggie O'Dell series book...very well written and kept me turning the pages.

78. The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey. Five Hundred Kingdom books. Really liked this one...

79. To The Last Breath by Carlton Stowers. This is a true crime book. Very well written and made me so mad at the father long before I was sure he had done the crime.

80. Confess, Fletch by Gregory McDonald

81. Death of a Musketeer by Sarah D'Almeida. This is the first book in a series that involves the three musketeers and a murder they must solve.

82. The Midnight Club by James Patterson. I like his books and can usually read one in no time at all. This one was very good and kept me interested. My biggest problem with Patterson's books is the short chapters...why does he split a scene into more then one chapter???

83. Adams V Texas by Randall Adams. This is a true crime book written in the first person. I thought it was okay but not one of the better true crime books I have read in the past.

84. Poisoned Tarts by G. A. McKevett. This is a Savannah Reid series cozy mystery. I really enjoy this series...always look forward to another installment. Very quick read and very enjoyable.

85. Indelible by Karin Slaughter. Grant County Series, Book 4. Very good...gave up my tv watching for this one. Not as gory as some of the previous books in this series but still a good book...look forward to the next one in the series.

Picked up Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson and could not get into it...just didn't interest me enough to finish it. Not going to count it here since I didn't finish it but wanted to make note that I did try.

86. L. A. Secret Police by Mike R. Rothmiller.

87. Boneman's Daughter by Tex Dekker. I had alot of trouble getting into this book. It seemed to take forever for the whole story to come together. Not sure if I will pick up another book by this author or not.
