Laura | 500 comments So what did you think? Did you love it, hate it?

What were your favourite parts of the book?

Maxine B | 3 comments I liked it. I completely understood why she didn't want to let go of the first guy, men like Kellan are a risk. In the end he proved himself, but I didn't blame her for being afraid to leave her bf for him. After a while though when Kellan was obviously in love with her, you'd think she would be able to make her choice.

Kelly (klg3566) | 24 comments I absolutely loved the entire series. Kellan is my #1 BBF. I was concerned when Denny left for AZ and Kiera was whiny, but I loved how she matured thru the series. I have so many favorite parts. I loved the espresso stand and the rain scene.

Rebecca | 10 comments I have only read thoughtless so far love kellan and kiera wow love them so hot, cant wait to read the rest...

Brianna | 171 comments I have very conflicting feelings about this book. I liked Kellan, and hated Kiera. I thought Denny was too sweet, but he definitely didn't deserve to be cheated on. At all. I don't like cheating, so it's a miracle I ever got around to reading this book, actually. I thought the book was very slow, but I did end up finishing it and giving it 3 stars, and it's definitely more than I expected.
So it was an angsty romance, and if you don't mind love triangles, or cheating, I say go for it.

Kate | 34 comments I wanted to hate this book. I wanted to hate this entire series. I wanted to hate Kellan for putting the moves on his friend's girl. I wanted to hate Denny for being so clueless. I wanted to hate Kiera for stringing 2 guys along for the whole freakin' book. But I tried, I really did, and I just...couldn't (ok, maybe I hated Kiera a little for not having the balls to admit what was happening to herself and to Denny).

I thought Thoughtless and the rest of the series was just so perfectly written. There's just a lot of writing out there in this genre that's pretty crappy. If you can't write dialogue as it would actually be spoken by a group of 20-something guys in a band, then don't write a book about a group of 20-something guys. Did anyone else find the dialogue to just be really dead on?

And then, of course, there's Kellan Kyle. I am just so happy that Kellan Kyle was thought up and put into words. I don't think I've ever come across a more likeable hero (maybe an Andrew Parish, but we just don't get as much of him from the one book...possibly a Jude Ryder?). When I finished this series, I didn't read for over a week. I just didn't think it would be possible to read something that didn't have Kellan in it. I read this series quite a while ago, but my husband most definitely knows who Kellan Kyle is, and is pretty jealous!

Maxine B | 3 comments I completely agree with Kate. I wanted to hate her or Kellan but couldn't. I understood her predicament, Denny was a security blanket she wasn't ready to give up. He was safe and secure; tried and true. With Kellan, she had no idea if she'd wind up like the countless other girls he'd been with. I didn't really like Denny; he left her in a strange place with people she didn't know when she had given up her home to be with him. Then he signed on to be there for a year! He's the one everyone should hate, not her!

Marianne (marsi75) | 13 comments I wanted to throw Kiera against the wall and wake her up. She was so annoying in thoughtless. In Effortless she grew up and in Reckless I was so proud of her. Kellan was truly amazing and so where the other characters you love so much as well. I loved this series, I wish they produce a movie!!

message 9: by T (new) - rated it 1 star

T (theresetriesthings) | 19 comments Am I the only one who's hating on this book? I'm not usually such a hater but this book really made me sick. I'm not a fan of cheating, especially on guys like Denny. I just don't get how he and Kellan are both nuts over Kiera. I had high expectations for this book given the high ratings. Can anyone tell me if the next book (Effortless) is any better? Still on the fence about continuing to read the series.

All-Things-Books [Whairigail] (all-things-books) Hey T - I was very like you. I hate cheating, with a passion and wish I'd read up more on it before starting.

However, that said, Effortless gets better. I HATED Kiera in book 1, and fully exected to hate her in Book 2 but I've actually grown to tollerate, if not even like her a little.

I'm almost finished with Effortless (should finish it on the drive home tonight as I'm audiobooking). Kellan is yummy but I can't help feel a bit annoyed at him for hurting Denny.

If you wanna chat about it, send me a PM :) xx

Hey T, I am totally against cheating and all but the author did a brilliant job making Kellan and Keira's story acceptable. You really have to have an open mind to this one. I was nervous myself as to how the story will pan out.

Denny is a great guy and what Keria did was WRONG. Most readers, including me, hated Keira in the first book. However, in Effortless her character is more mature and the story gets even better.

Also in Effortless you'll see the outcome of a relationship that started on lies and of course cheating. The fear (of being cheated on) and uncertainty (that their relationship is not strong enough) is always there but love, as great as it is, conquers all.

In some readers it is refreshing because it's not your typical boy meets girl and they fell in love then they live happily ever after story.

I urge you to give the series a chance to redeem itself in book 2. Inspire yourself with Kellan, I think everyone that adores this book did.

Happy reading.

:)

Ladyice | 3 comments Thoughtless... I liked the story, and the characters... Except Keira. She... She was just plain stupid and reminded me of Bella from Twilight. *cringe*
I really liked Denny and felt bad about the fact that Keira kept going behind his back with Kellan (I mean I don't see how someone can tell one person they love them, but act like they're dating someone else at the same time.) And the fact I felt like she blamed Kellan for THEIR mistakes.
Anyway, I hope the second one is a lot better...

Emma Alderson murray | 5 comments This series is at the top of my todo list. I just have a bit of an issue two timing. I read another book on two timing and I just hated the female for leading both men on. However I know a lot of reader love Keller because let's face it he won the NA tournament for best male. I personally was gutted as I am a Drew fan from one week girlfriend.
After reading the above posts I will read this series next. Here's hoping I like it.
