Sorfina Suzali Hey guys im new to this so take it easy on me (: anyways, I've been wondering, and its driving me crazy not knowing, why luke was part of the circle. i mean isn't he a downworlder? Wouldnt he realise that theyd have to eventually kill him too because he's a downworlder?

message 2: by Areti (new)

Areti | 114 comments Luke was born a shadowhunter and he was valentine's parabatai and after he became a werewolf!

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I take it you watched the movie and didn't read the book? It's explained a bit better in book form.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments Razeal said the he and Simon were related. what do you think that means?

message 5: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I'm hoping Simon is like some kind of angel in the end and saves everyone ;-)

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments so do I.

who do you think will kill Sebastian/Jonathan?

message 7: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I'm not sure. I think it's either going to be Jace and his heavenly fire, or Simon and his heritage comes through to save them. But I'm hoping no one dies even though I know Cassie will kill some major character. She always does.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments she does :(

dont you think maia and Kyle went a little too fast on the relationship?

message 9: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments Yep. It was like zero to sixty in two seconds. But they do have a history so it wasn't that shocking for me.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments what do you think of Jocelyn?

message 11: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I have no clue. I think the more we come up with scenarios for what's going to happen, the more the actual book is going to shock us. Nothing we predict is probably going to happen lol.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments LOL

why would the fae side with Sebastian?

message 13: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments Because the seelie queen sides with whoever has power. And Sebastien definitely has power.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments witch should have known better than to go up against Clary . I bet Clary kills her

who do you think is Magnus' father?

message 15: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments OMG it's probably Satan himself lol. I don't know. But he definitely does. I don't think the queen is going to die though. I think she'll make an appearance in the next shadowhunter series.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments I agree. she probably playing both sides

do you think Clary can see the future?

message 17: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments No I don't think so. But she might have a bit of prophet in her haha.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments LOL

did you think it was annoying that Clary finally knew how to fight after five books?

message 19: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments No. You couldn't expect her to be able to fight after COB could you? I think it was good progression of her fighting skills.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments true but still. she just started her training and she already could kick ass

message 21: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I think that bit of angel blood helped ;)

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments yeah maybe it dead :)

Simon really needs to accept his vampire self. he shouldn't be all moody about. I was proud that he stood against Simon on COG

message 27: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I think he kind of has. He just can't accept that he'll still be around when his friends and family die in the next fifty years.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments yeah...

maybe he will meet Tessa and be friends with her :)

message 30: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments I hope that Tessa will somehow help in COHF. Magnus had mentioned her help before.

Julia Griffis - The Romance Bibliophile (theromancebibliophile) Yeah, I hope Tessa and Jem are somehow incorporated into COHF. That would be awesome!

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments which three characters do you hate in the series?

message 34: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments Mr. Lightwood, Sebastien, and the Seelie Queen.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments @julia both

Julia Griffis - The Romance Bibliophile (theromancebibliophile) I hate Valentine, Sebastian, and Lady Lilith. I'm not a fan of Mr. Robert Lightwood or the Seelie Queen either.

Julia Griffis - The Romance Bibliophile (theromancebibliophile) In TID, I hate Axel Mortmain, Consul Wayland, and Nathaniel Gray.

message 40: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments All of those characters are easy to hate. Ms. Clare sure knows how to write a villain lol.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments I am,not a fan of Jocelyn

message 42: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments Yeah, me neither.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments I hated her for taking away Clary's memory

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments I hated when did not train Clary.

I rooted for Isabelle when pointed out Jocelyn's mistakes in COLS

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments what do you think were Valentine's last thoughts?

message 46: by Allison (new)

Allison Janezic (allilj) | 120 comments Ray (warrior of randomness) XP wrote: "what do you think were Valentine's last thoughts?"

He probably quoted The Terminator. "I'll be back".

message 47: by Inda (new)

Inda (indaherwood) | 129 comments Stephen wasn't his parabatai. He was just his second in command of the circle.

Ray (warrior of randomness) XP | 602 comments you can only have one parabatai. if he or she dies then that's it. you can't have another one

message 49: by Christie (new)

Christie (CJ838) | 50 comments I've been reading TMI series and now I'm up to city of lost souls. And I feel like giving up...

- Is anyone sick of Clary and Jace not being together?

I feel like the first 3 books were amazing. But after that I just got annoyed that the author created another reason to keep Jace and Clary apart. Plus the storyline isn't as interesting as the first 3 books I didn't think.

Plus I feel like Clary keeps chasing Jace. She brought him back to life and she keeps checking he is okay. He has dreams and pulls away from her. Now he has disappeared with Sebastian (Jonathan). I just feel like giving up reading the last book. I am starting to see Clary in a bit of a "door mat" sense. I know she loves him but after all her trying I'd start giving up a bit. When is it her turn for Jace to want her? When he got his life back he seemed to change. He seems to not want her as much anymore, despite him "saying" how much he wants her, his actions say differently.

- Am I the only one who feels this way?

message 50: by Allison (new)

Allison Janezic (allilj) | 120 comments I can see where you feel that way. All I can say is book 5 was one of the toughest for me because I had read the previous 4 in 3 weeks. So I was slowing down a bit. The book is worth plowing through and keep in mind COHF is the last of the TMI series so I would imagine that Cassie will not go through 6 books just to not have them get together in the end. JMO. I personally find it great that it's Clary having to protect Jace. She is NOT a damsel in distress. I don't see her as a doormat because IMO if Clary wanted to dump his a$$ she would. She has never backed down from a challenge and is not afraid to do what she wants to do. I find her loyal and that is not to be confused with a pushover. Which is basically what a doormat is. Plus in this book it's not exactly like Jace is truly capable of free will.
