Hi. What format are you converting FROM? You can use Calibre, which is a free download from here - http://calibre-ebook.com - to turn a variety of formats to .epub/.mobi/.pdf etc. You just save it to your computer, upload the file you want into the Calibre library and it will convert to whatever format you choose from the drop down menu.
Also, you can try - http://www.docspal.com - which is a fully online file converter. Once the downloads are complete, they automatically save to your computer Download folder, and then all you do is check the folder and move your file where you want it.
These would, obviously, need to be checked by yourself before handing out to anyone. But if you can, you or a friend can rearrange the formatting on Calibre to suit your needs. It comes with a handy manual if that helps. :)

Hi RA,
I use Streetlight Graphics http://streetlightgraphics.com/
There are plenty of others out there and other people in the group may recommend their formatters. Like Elaine said, you can also do it yourself using specific softwares.
I opted for Streetlight Graphics to do it for me as I normally get their Ultimate Pro Package for $460, which includes the ebook cover, the ebook formatting, the print cover and formatting, and an 'idiot's' guide on how to upload the ebook files to the various retailers/sellers ;)

Having said that though, Streetlight are getting quite busy, so there may be a waiting list. I normally book my slots with them about 2, sometimes 3 months in advance!

I've done that for my own book and for two other authors. We should talk because maybe I can help you, too. "Reasonably cheap" is relative -- but let's talk. Feel free to contact me directly at [email protected]

I need it for both kindle and smashwords. I don't know anything about formatting the inside of the book. If anyone knows of someone who is reasonably cheap let me know. Thanks in advance!!
