Gamal Hennessy | 154 comments I've put together a site to offer ideas about the business, craft and life of the independent writer. I hope you find something useful here.

Mike Dixon (mikedixon) | 3 comments Liberation!
No more publishers trying to get you to spice up your plot with sex scenes that will alienate your followers.
No more silly signing ceremonies in bookshops.
No more editors trying to enforce a house style that is totally inappropriate for your work. When will they learn about ellipses and fragments? I have, on occasions, felt obliged to refer them to the Oxford English Dictionary to bring them up to date with current practice.
No more editors who cover your (digital) manuscript with red, to show they have read it, and make global changes that put in more errors than they remove.
No more books that sell at $25 and pay royalties of less than $1.50.
I could go on but I shall stop here and give others a chance.
