Great African Reads discussion

I thought you might be interested in this article. While this article is geared to an US audience - it speaks to a list of upcoming early 2014 book releases by African and African diaspora writers. This year in the US there have been a number of books by African writers that were considered "best" reads. I have actually read most of them and when I get a minute will post by comments on these books. And the article author states why he thinks we are seeing this trend.

Great article! I jotted down several books for my TBR list. :) I actually just finished A House in the Sky and had no idea that Lindhout's captors contacted her through Facebook to praise her for her humanitarian efforts.
