Kath Middleton | 23860 comments 2.4 was in the first poll. Or did I dream that?

Well if you did, I am sharing your dreams ;@)!

Philip (sarah) Willis | 4630 comments I can see the results of the poll!
Is this intentional?

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments 2.4 was in the first poll; it's my book. Hopefully Simon is going to remove it from this one. :~/

Unless someone copied my blurb; bad move, as it came a lowly sixth :~)

message 7: by David (last edited Sep 15, 2013 04:19AM) (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments I can see the results too, and I have a vote in this one. Can I carry it over ;~)

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Oops. Hang on.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Sorry about that. There was only one vote for 2.4

Now there is a brand new 2.4 and the poll is hidden.

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments No carry over then :'(

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments I have an excuse....

When I put the books up I didn't notice that a couple of authors had sent me a second PM later on. There were a couple of duplicates....

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Tsk.

Nothing like making our poor Simon's life harder.

Go have a beer, sweetheart. You've earned one.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Ok..... a couple of authors asked if they could enter after the deadline. This is a test to see if anyone is out there.

I have two spaces for blurb #4. First come first served.

PM your entry. Put Blurb #4 in the subject
Strict 50 words.
You must not have your name or the title in the blurb.
Make sure you tell me your name and the title.

Elayne (bouncingtigger) | 3 comments Well difficult one here as I like the blurbs and would be tempted by 2.1, 2.5 and 2.6. Depending on how much they cost in that order - assuming 2.1 to be the cheapest! There are 2 that seem aimed at youngsters so they were discounted and the others mostly look interesting except for the bacon sandwich as I am a veggie!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Ha!

I bet the bacon sandwich is the MOST interesting!

Mmmmmmmmmbaconmmmmmmmmmmmm

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Blurb #4 is now full.

message 18: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments guess which one Patti voted for :o)

message 19: by Simon (new)

Simon Jenner (simon_jenner) | 112 comments Ooh this is tougher - I like a few.

message 20: by Jud (new)

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments I voted but found it a harder choice. I pretty much closed my eyes and stabbed at the screen

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Interesting. it was suggested on blurb #1 that your position in the list affected the vote. The early results here suggest that isn't true. Looks like we have discerning voters :)

message 23: by Andy (new)

Andy Elliott | 1446 comments One has voted, your honour. Yet another nicely varied selection of page turners. Am I correct in thinking that the winner of blurb 1 will be next month's BOTM?

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments You are right Andy.

message 25: by George (new)

George Hamilton | 25 comments Ooh... 2.3 or 2.7? Ip Dip Thrupenny bit, you are not it.

message 26: by Maria (new)

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) Did you send out an email about this starting with a link? I got an email for the first one, but didn't realize this was up and going!!! Off to read the blurbs and vote!

Yes, I sent it on Sunday morning... Apparently they don't always make it to everyone in a large group.

Yes, I se..."

Oh, okay. That's good then. I would have hated to miss the vote, so I came 'round and checked.

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments 86 votes so far....

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments That's a lot more than vote in the polls for the writing competitions...

message 32: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Ah, but these are by real authors. It's often you and me and Simon on the other! ;)

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Well you can't get more Indie than that! ;)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments I like the cut of your jib! (Just trying to get a little Pirate-speak in, in honour of the day!)
