Wayne Smallman (waynesmallman) | 35 comments How "hard" does your science fiction have to be? Or, alternatively, how forgiving are you, with respect to the solidity of the science?

Arabella Thorne (arabella_thornejunocom) | 354 comments Good science is good science but really detailed science can lose me because if I don't have a grasp on chemistry or physics...it's lost on me. I depend on the author to know what they are doing.
And to be frank really hard SF makes my eyes glaze over. it's like reading a car repair manual...except I am not entertained and I am not making repairs!
I know a lot of people love the nuts and bolts of warp drive....but I just take it as a given....give me the story and fling me into a new world...I don't have to know how the roller coaster works!
