Tell us a little about yourself: I'm 23, @ uni training to be a primary teacher, two children & am married.
1. The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen - This is my second Gerritsen book and I still love this author. This book had me gripped and guessing all the way through, looking forward to reading the follow up, The Apprentice.
2. Harvesting The Heart by Jodi Picoult - I could never do as Paige did and walk out on my family no matter what was happening so could not relate to her character. I loved MSK by Picoult but everything else pales in comparasion 4 me! Picoult books often have a twist which this book lacked and overall, I found it to be very average.
3. The Tales Of Beedle The Bard by JK Rowling - My favourite fables from the book were The Fountain of Fair Fortune and The Warlock's Hairy Heart but even these were average. No excitement was shown throughout any of the stories and I would say they are more fables than fairy tales.
4. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer - With all the hype around the book and so many people loving it, I thought I might have been disappointed but I certainly wasn't!! I read it as quick as I could often sneaking in pages here and there. I cannot wait to see the film and read the next 1s in the series.
5. Slumdog Millionaire by Vikas Swarup
6. Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult - Finally another Picoult book I love! I loved MSK but alll the others I've read paled in comparision but this was Picoult @ her best again. Picoult obviously researched the Amish life and i learnt a great deal about their way of life.
7. It's What He Would've Wanted by Sean Hughes - Need a sense of humour and cannot be easily offended if reading the book. Overall, the book was average and the ending was disappointing.
8. Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo - Kensuke’s Kingdom is a great adventure story about an eleven year old boy and his dog who get ship-wrecked on a remote island. It was a real page-turner and I'm hoping my class enjoy it just as much as me!
9. Labyrinth by Kate Mosse - I disliked it very much! I felt there was a lot of unnecessary description and far too many characters. I did read it all but it took a very long time & I often wanted to give up!
10. New Moon by Stephanie Meyer - The sequel to Twilight was totally amazing and am looking forward to reading Eclipse. I understand what Twilight fans mean by Team Jacob or Edward...defo Team Edward but Jacob is soooo lovely! I read this really quickly and will no doubt be starting Eclipse very soon!
11. Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer - Another Twilight book I loved. Still defo Team Edward & was sooo mad because Bella loved Jake too & kissed him :O looking forward to Breaking Dawn.
12. The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff I loved all the various sources used in the book & felt there was a good balance between the time periods. It was a very interesting subject, giving insight into polygamy and how it affects not only the wives but children and husbands alike.
13. The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler - I haven't read any Austen before but this wasn't too much of a problem & the members of the book club & their lives was more of a focus. The switching between times didn't work too well in this particular book and overall it was very average.
14. Watermelon by Marian Keyes - I love all the Marian Keyes books & this one is no exception! I wanted her to get with Adam so much and glad she seen that James was playing her.
15. Unchained Melanie by Judy Astley - Wasn't anything original or a page-turner, OK for a quick read.
16. The Memory Keepers Daughter by Kim Edwards - Fantastic read, a real page-turner!
17. Dancing in my Nuddy Pants by Louise Rennison - Currently reading
