Amber Foxx (amberfoxx) | 37 comments I recently enjoyed Decider by Dick Francis, with no idea the mystery would not be a murder. It was a pleasant surprise. Still crime fiction. Still a whodunit of sorts, but the crime was not the usual.

I like finding mysteries that go off the beaten track. I'm currently enjoying When The Tide Turned which is even more unconventional.

Any other recommendations?

So capricious! So whimsical, just like a woman. :\

Oh well. The thrillers of Richard Hoyt come to mind. Usually set in the PNW. Oddball plots.

The Siskiyou Two-Step
Fish Story
Cool Runnings

Meanwhile, quirky detective fun is to be had in SoCo with Walter Walker:
A Dime to Dance By
The Two Dude Defense

Too right, organized. Because..well..what if everyone in the world simply did what they felt like doing? What kind of world would that be?

Err, waitaminute, let me re-phrase that.
