Francis Audrain (goodreadscomfrankaudrain) | 11 comments I am Goodreads Author Francis Audrain. My recent trilogy is The Everlasting Spring: Beyond Olympus; and the three epic sagas listed in subtitles (under that title) have recently been released. The set is a connected serial, of 1,253 pages; and some readers who’ve read all three, at this early point, are wondering why I chose to tag the trilogy as historical fiction: because they took the time to verify that, in fact, all three volumes are inspired by actual events. And they also found many of the main characters, and likewise in the supporting cast, have familiar names. My answer is this: I simply wanted to have some leeway in the dialogue of some of the characters. Their actions are authentic; but words are sometimes lost, in the fog of bygone ages.

Francis Audrain (goodreadscomfrankaudrain) | 11 comments The Everlasting Spring: Beyond Olympus is a trilogy--a serial in three volumes of connected sagas, inspired by actual events during the tumulltuous rise of Western Culture in the formative era of the first century. Benjamin & Boudica emerge as the first of three couples whose heroic lives reflect many thousands of others who made world-changing history by following an impossible dream, that motivated millions of others to found, love, and protect the United States of America.

Long after the era of Benjamin and Boudica explorers from Europe took to the sea seeking new resources for their rapidly growing populations. They discover a “new world” across the Atlantic Ocean. It was there that Colton and Blue Star met, as Western Civilization continued to spread West in a wild and wonderful land: abudent in opporttunity and heart-breaking conflict that ultimately formed a civilized country, ruled by its citizens with equal justice, and liberty for all.

Following the eras of Benjamin & Boudica, and Colton & Blue Star. Aaron and Alana emerge. Both are born in 1941 at the onset of WWII; and both are aware of the conflicts in Korea, and the beginning of the war in Vietnam where Aaron is wounded; transported to Hawaii, and soon realizes that his wounds and related truama have affected his attitude regarding the Army, his country and the rest of his life. But his fate is miraculously changed, when he meets an Army Nurse; and his soul begins to heal.

That little voice aka gut feeling aka intuition has saved me many times and has even helped me write my novels.
