Chapter 8: (view spoiler)[ I'm finding this pretty boring so far. It's labelled as young adult but I'm finding the writing more like middle grade. It doesn't bother me too much but it's just something I noticed. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 12: (view spoiler)[ I didn't find that scene on the bridge exciting at all. I'm not liking this book at the moment. I wonder when Perry is going to show up again. She seemed like an interesting character. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 26: (view spoiler)[ Still not very impressed with this, unfortunately. I had high hopes because my boyfriend's brother loved it but now I'm just disappointed. I'm finding the writing unimpressive and childish. I'm hoping the story improves but I'm doubting it at this point. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 38: (view spoiler)[ I'm probably going to end up rating the book 2 stars. I'm just not into it, and it's probably just wrong person wrong book. I'm confused about something... why is it THE Morrigan and not just Morrigan? Isn't Morrigan her name? I hope this book has some sort of real ending. (hide spoiler)]

It's not a bad story so far, I'm about a quarter of the way into the book but I get what you mean Ashley, it does seem a bit more middle grade than YA, but that might also be because of the pace of the book, the plot has advanced quite a bit in a few chapters

(view spoiler)[ So far, the writing is repetitive. There are so many similar sentences, and I'm tired of reading about Nick smiling. The fact that I have little interest in the story so far, and the writing annoys me, tells me that this is going to be a long and possibly unenjoyable read (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 3
(view spoiler)[I liked how the story started off with a lot of action. The twins really get immersed into the "magic" world quickly. I wish that the first several chapters would have more backstory about the twins though. I agree that there are a lot of characters so far. I also agree with some things being repetitive, like the smell of peppermint and spoiled eggs. I am chocking that up to this being a middle grade novel. (hide spoiler)]
