Scout and Once Upon A Time

She sighed softly. Her hair was a mess. "then I guess I should no longer be taught by you if it'll cause drama." She murmured harshly.
As she flipped over her back faced the wall her eyes begin to open slowly, but closed automatically. Sleeping wasn't something she was used to doing and it felt good. Something was nagging her wondering how long it could last.
Startled by the words. "Fine leave I'm your teacher not a friend who can gossip with you about daily life drama. If you want a teacher stay. I am here if you need talk about your past and such and even your future. Noting more or less than that"

She scoffed. "What are you talking about? We barely know each other so what is there to gossip about? You are my teacher and I respect you as my teacher. But I have an illness and if this going to happen whenever I have an attack, you can consider me gone."
Waking up slowly seeing breakfast on the the little table. A note beside it. Not realizing she was smiling at it. Shaking her head a little bit. She wasn't going to stay here why get attached to this place when something like that will never last. Everything goes wrong for her.
Jay looked furiously at her. "I did nothing wrong I helped you calm down then walked away. I wasn't going to help you up or touch you because that would be inappropriate. I'm not trying

"There is nothing inappropriate about helping a women up as she's shaking on the floor." She shot back. "I appreciate you helping me calm down, but the least you could do is help me up since I can barely stand at this moment." She leaned against the wall.
Not really knowing how to write out a note saying she was leaving, she decided that it was best to just leave. It wasn't like he would miss her. Walking slowly up the stairs. She was very thankful for everything she didn't even touch her breakfast feeling like she didn't deserve this. Biting her lip stopping at the top of stairs wondering what to do. It would be rude just leave.
Sighing some. "Well I never said you had to get up right way." Looking at her truth be told is never had contact with a girl before and he would rather act cold then be an embarrass.

She sighed softly and closed her eyes, shaking her head. She didn't know what to say.
Hearing some tears coming from the hallway. Should she check the noise? Opening the door glad it swung towards her way instead of the young girl she saw. "Hi sweetie? Why are you crying?" She said very gently forgetting about the noise she heard in her stomach.
Feeling like he should give her more of explanation. "Look I'm sorry. Its just that I'm not the best with girls"

"Well now is your time to get better at it." She said, then took a deep breath. "Since I am in no state to walk on my own, could you do me the favour of walking me home?"
Kneeling down slowly. "Okay can you happen to tell me what room your looking for? So I can help you find it. " Taking a breath. "You don't have to cry its going to be okay now wipe those tears and we will get you to your room." Trying to calm the girl down.
"Okay..." He said slowly. "So ah how do I that?" He asked.
"Okay..." He said slowly. "So ah how do I that?" He asked.

"Like a casual gentleman, you carry my things for me and take my arm and walk me home safely." She said.
Looking at her as she stand up. She didn't know her way around the school. Maybe Micheal would know. "Okay well things could be a lot worse than this be thankful. I mean look at the brightside your going to have superhearing unlike us normal humans." Hoping this help. "I'm going to take your hand and take you to your room." She said.
Nodding slowly taking her things and putting his arm around her praying people didn't get the wrong impression.

She could tell he was anxious about this. She griped his arm and together they slowly made their way outside. "There isn't anything wrong with this. "Im clearly in poor health."
"My name is Lily. I'm new here. What's your name." She said softly. Moving slowly she kade her way to Michaels room with ease and knocked hoping he would know how to get out for getting to the room.
Relaxing some he started to act like it was more natural.

Michael opened the door, raising his eyebrows in surprise. "Lily? Everything okay?" He asked, then noticed Caroline. "Oh! I see you've met our new student."
After a few minutes of silence, she cleared her throat. "I am really sorry for throwing fits at you and talking back. It's very unlady like."
Smiling some. "Nice to meet you Caroline." Seeing Micheal opening the door. "Yeah everything is okay I'm helping Caroline find room 343 and I don't know where that is, but you do." Looking down a little not used to looking anyone in the eyes.
Jay looked over to his side. "Oh its fine I honestly don't mind I rather have a lady who talks back then a lady who does everything I say." Flashing a small smile, but it was gone as soon as it was there.

She actually giggled, despite how tired she was. "Those kind of men are very rare." She teased.
"No I don't mind some." She was still in her nightgown because she was just going to leave. Turning around going towards the third floor hoping he wouldn't question her later on that day about this. "Okay how well are you going up the steps? I don't want you to get hurt" She said turning to Caroline.
"I must be very rare." He said holding in his laugh. "I guess you caught me I wasn't going to tell anyone I was rare" He winked.

She giggled again. "You're secret is safe with me." He put her other hand over her heart.
Nodding some. "We are at the stairs. I'm right here and I won't let you fall." She said.
"Good I don't want girls coming after me that would be horrible." He said.
"Good I don't want girls coming after me that would be horrible." He said.

She blinked, staring up at him. "You don't want a woman to call yours?"
Lily followed right behind her slowly making sure she didn't fall. It made her feel like she was doing something good.
"No I never said that. I just don't like the idea of a lot girls coming after me. I only need one girl to come after me." He said.
"No I never said that. I just don't like the idea of a lot girls coming after me. I only need one girl to come after me." He said.

She nodded. "And have you found her yet? The right woman I mean." She asked.
Smiling a little bit. "To the right" She said some. "Is there anything else you need before you go to your class" She asked softly.
"No I haven't" Sighing a little bit. "But i will know when i do"
"No I haven't" Sighing a little bit. "But i will know when i do"

She nodded again. "Well I hope the best for you. You're a charming man and any woman would be happy to have you." She said.
"No I'm not a teacher or a student just a person passing through." Lily said softly. Not wanting to say she was going to leave soon in fear that she will give her a reason to stay.
"Wish you would tell my parents that. According to them I should be married and have a family now, but I don't want that my career is more important. I have forever to find the perfect girl and marry her."

"Really? How old are you? If you don't mind me asking." She asked politely.
Her heart instantly broke a little. Would it be wrong just leave? "Well I'm here now so why don't you do what you have to do and I'll see you during dinner." She said softly. "I have to go right now my breakfast is getting cold." Smiling a little bit she walked down the flights of stairs going to the basement. Her breakfast was cold her tummy stopped making the noise like it always did. It wasn't like she needed breakfast she did go without frequently she threw in the trash hoping he wouldn't notice. Plus he never said she could eat it either or maybe the note said that it wasn't like she would know because she couldn't read. Sighing a little as she looked around the room deciding was good enough.
Looking at her a little bit." I'm 21. How about you?" He asked softly. "If you don't mind me asking?" Pausing some. "I know its not polite to ask a lady her age, but since I'm fully open about mine."

It was recess for Michaels class so he had a few minutes of break for himself as well. He decided to check on lily, skipping down the basement steps.
She smiled. He was young for a teacher. "I'm 18." She smiled sweetly. "Yeah I know; I should be married off as well." She shrugged.
Lily was sitting in the corner looking at the note getting frustrated that she couldn't make out the words on the page. She should of just left. Hearing noises coming from the stairs. Looking up some not knowing who it could be. Hoping if it was Micheal he wouldn't get mad at her for not eating.
Nodding understanding the struggle. "We could start a singles club I could be the leader since I been single longer." He joke his mouth went into a upward curve.

She giggled and smiled back. His smile was contiguous. "I'll be the co-founder." She added to his joke.
Nodding her head some. "What does my note say?" Showing him the note that he written earlier. "Aunt and Uncle thought school wasn't necessary. Instead they put me to work right away." Whispering softly.
"It could a be a secret club." Smiling a little bit more not even remembering when the last time he smiled this much was.
"It could a be a secret club." Smiling a little bit more not even remembering when the last time he smiled this much was.

"Let's do it!" She laughed, clearly joking and playing along. SHe also couldnt remember the last time she smiled this wide.
Nodding a little bit. That means she would stay longer than she wanted to. Would it hurt to stay a little longer? "I guess I could stay a little longer." Worry set in because what happen if she got attached? Would he hurt her.
Jay let a little chuckle it wasn't quite a laugh. "Just tell me when we are at your house" Saying softly.
Jay let a little chuckle it wasn't quite a laugh. "Just tell me when we are at your house" Saying softly.

"My house is just around the creak up ahead." She pointed to the running water.
"I know" Whispering softly. Not getting up from her place. "I can't though I know nothing to help out. I can't read, do arithmetic, or write very well. All I know how to do is cook, clean, look down when you are being talk to. Don't eat unless told to. If I mess up you get punished. No food because its waste. No showers where the same thing." She said a little loud. To be honest these were reasons why she should stay to learn how to live her life. "The most important is people will always hurt you." Tears quickly went down her face.
Nodding some. "So I guess I will see you tomorrow in class" Trying to act causal in truth he a tiny disappointed to go back to his house alone.

Alice nodded just as her house came into view. It was big and had a wrap-around porch. "Well, this is me." She sighed, turning to him.
"Its not okay. I will never be okay" Whispering. "I don't want to cook for the rest of my life. Is that all I am to anyone is a cook and a maid?" She asked harshly. Wanting to stay just for a little longer made her afraid. Thinking if she pushed him away she wouldn't get hurt.
"Yep" He said the house was big. Not knowing really much else to say other than that. Besides big houses were okay.

She bit her lip, then held out her hand. "Thank you for accompanying me home."
Lily didn't say anything. "Mentor? You honestly think a broken girl who knows nothing can teach someone." Blinking some, but then a flashback started to happen. Curling into the corner of the wall. Whimpering it was like her nightmares were coming alive.
"No problem" He said with a smile feeling he should have said something else, but what?
"No problem" He said with a smile feeling he should have said something else, but what?

She sighed and took her hand back. "I'll see you Monday?"
Pushing herself out of the nightmare. "It doesn't matter I'm only going to be here a few more days than before." Biting her lip as she looked up at him. Her eyes were full of life at one time, but now they are broken, sad, and cold. "I can't be a companion or a friend to anyone because they will just be disappointed in the end and hurt me. Don't you get it everyone will hurt me in the end!" Shaking tears coming down her face she needed help and wanted friendships, but she wouldn't admit to either.
"I'll see you on Monday" He smiled some and turned around and headed home.
"I'll see you on Monday" He smiled some and turned around and headed home.

She sighed and walked up the front steps of her home and let herself in.
Taking a deep breath before the tears continued "I don't know how to live my life Michael. How am I suppose to believe that no one is going to hurt me anymore? That's what they said at first and they kept doing it. How am I suppose to know that someone will make me feel better and with a snap of a finger break me?"
Walking home alone was quite and a little dull.
Walking home alone was quite and a little dull.

((Wanna skip somewhere with them lol))
"Micheal, but what if?" She asked looking up at him. "I don't want to get hurt again and if I leave I won't get hurt" She whispered.
((Sure maybe we could get to the point where they start having feelings for each other, but they know its wrong so they push each other away? ))

((sure!)
Nodding slowly still weary about the prospects of staying. "Okay." Her voice was very quiet.
((So how shall we start it?))
((So how shall we start it?))

(I say we jump right into the verbal arguement, and maybe he could stop it by kissing her or something when she tries to leave?))
"I know, but people get wrong ideas and I don't want to lose my job before even starts." Jay said.
