If you were given permission to write a fan fiction based on a book or TV show, who would you want to write about?

Ooh good q. The pool has a lot of goodies to dip into.

My first thought is probably do Battlestar Galactica but the fans scare me and I'm sure I'd get a backlash over what I'd do with my fave character Dee. Haha. But I'd probably deal with another set of characters in the same universe. I do have a few stories written in the BSG uni.

Either that or Star Trek but deal with a completely new crew in the future.

But if I had to choose one, I would definitely do Blade. I already have an idea for writing FF about Dr. Karen Jensen and what happened to her after the first movie. If I can do that for hire and help continue the Blade series, that'd be awesome.

Well, when a person writes a fan fiction, they don't have to include all the characters and what fun a fan fiction would be, if you can't add your own flavor to the story?

I would write about Sam and Alyssa. I probably would try my hand at writing a Psych fan fiction. Of course, I would have to make it funny, because Shawn and Gus can be so funny.

I would write a crossover fan fic with Marcus from T4 and Cameron from Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Batman for sure.

Basically, you (a fan) write your own storyline for you favorite characters/shows/movie/books/whatever you are a fan of.

I've written a bit of fanfiction in Anne McCaffrey's world of Pern but with original characters (whoo, dragons).

I tossed around the idea of writing fanfiction based in the game Bloody Roar (all six of 'em, LOL). I love that all the characters had animal forms and a full story. Good times, LOL. It's easier just to write original fiction though, more freedom.

Edit: Fanfiction can be a story based off of any franchise: tv show, game, book, etc., btw.

Yes, I agree new_user, in your original story, you will have more freedom.

That's so true. Fan fiction is good writing exercise though when you're in between a story or just need to get the brain muscles working.

Ladies, when will you all get back to your stories? I will be gettig back to Courage, hopefully next week. I have added a new part a week ago.

I will be getting back to His Bodyguard too. I need to write more to that story.

I wrote a bit a couple of nights ago. I'll try to work on it sometime this weekend. I am working today. :(

I really hope to get back to Voice of Abandon soon. I'm trucking through my Ashen Twilight sequel at the moment cause I'm a bit behind and I keep fighting my brain because it wants to write a historical but I have to wait. So hopefully soon because I know I need a few scenes and to rewrite the end (cause it was on a cliffhanger...eek).

I use to watch that show. If I am flipping the channel and I see it on, I'll watch it.

True Blood has some cute men on it. Sam is one of them. Even Sookie's brother is cute. Even the blond vampire is cute.

Sam is really cute. Jason is cute but he's a reprobate. I loved the scene when Lafayette was videotaping him dancing. I haven't seen Eric on there yet.

The guy that plays Sam, real life name is Sam. He's from New Orleans, Louisiana.

That's cool. I like when that happens where people play characters with the same name.

I am one of the Seinfeld lovers. I loved Jerry Stiller on that and King of Queens.

Sad to admit, but my fan fiction would probably be about "Anne of Green Gables." I love those books and movies.

Not sad at all. I have some very interesting subjects for potential fan fiction myself.
