Wild Things: YA Grown-Up discussion

Wow! This group has really flourished...how exciting! I am Emily and I know Laura, one of your mods, from another group. I currently teach 6th grade language arts, and so it's no surprise that I love YA books!

I'm 37 weeks pregnant, so reading for fun hasn't been a priority for the last few months as I've slogged through the school year, but lately I've been pushing myself to relax and read more. YA books have been just the thing because I tend to gravitate towards "heavy thinking" books. YA is a little lighter and just feels good right now.

PS - I'm excited that you guys read Anne of Green Gables for May! I loved that series when I was younger, and I've tried suggesting it to so many of my cute little students who love to read, but no one has taken me up on it yet. We need to bring it back!
