Annabel (anna9319) | 11 comments Hi!
I'd love to find a book similar to A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole , Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward , The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter . I really love the whole alpha protective male and fated love that is present in those series.

Thanks :)

I'll second the Halle Shifters books. I enjoyed them, and there is some humour as well as the "fated mate" thing.

Maddy Barone has a series set 50 or so years in the future that is set after the fall of civilization (yay terrorists, right? At least they are good for ONE thing, and that's supplying us with villains in some good post-apocalyptic books.) Sleeping With the Wolf is the first book in the series. Again, fated mates. Oh--and the wolves are all members of the Wolf Tribe of the Lakota.

I enjoyed the After the Crash series Pat. Maddy is fairly consistent in her world building, and it was an interesting idea. And I liked the time travel element, as well as the shape-shifters. And I forgot to mention that there ARE other shape-shifters around. One of the other women winds up with one as a mate. But he's not Lakota, nor does he seem to be N.A. But I personally prefer the Lakota heroes. Sorry, but they are just too yummy. Ok, and I spent a part of my summers as a child on a Choctaw rez--my Dad was part Choctaw, so we'd visit family in the summer when we were in the U.S. (Dad was military--we did some globe trotting, so weren't always able to visit family.) As a result--I do find N.A. men extremely sexy.

I ain't mad at 'cha. I enjoy the boys myself. thanks for letting me know I probably should move it up

that had to be fun but hard to do a lot of moving around - as soon as you made friends, do it all over again

Tara Stone | 33 comments If you don't mind a ya book, theres a series out there by Quinn Loftis called The Grey Wolf Series. It's a typical ya book, but it does have the alpha protective male and some of the parts did make me laugh. Good luck find a new series.

Hayley Smith (pandora86) | 1 comments The Argenaeu series by Lynsay Sands were a great fated mate read. A great take on vampirism as well. very worth while. And a fair bit of steaminess. ;)

Also some humour in the Argeneau series. I do love that series.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 229 comments Highly recommend Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh . Each romance gets more entance, and the world building is wonderful!

message 17: by Annabel (new)

Annabel (anna9319) | 11 comments I read a couple of books from that series and fund them so very well written and the story so immersive. totally loved them :)

ℸℎℯrℯᏕα (wwg1wga) | 36 comments I too highly recommend Nalini Singh's Psy-changeling.

Also, Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardian series (1st book) Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians, #1) by Dianne Duvall and Elisabeth Naughton's Eternal Guardian Series (1st book) Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton .

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 229 comments That's good then! At least I was on the right track.

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione is really different and readers seem to love or hate them. Also Witchling (Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon #1) by Yasmine Galenorn , the first book starts out a bit weak. But the series really picks up. It's fun if you enjoy off the hook magic.

Dahrose | 73 comments Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul, #1) by C.L. Wilson start with this book in the series - follows fated mates from very different backgrounds - entire species are at risk if they don't get it right.
