Kristi (kristicoleman) All right, looks like we are all ready to go! Thoughts?? I'm SO excited...I read a bit and it's really pulling me in!

Zulfiya (ztrotter) Thank you, Kristi. I am uber excited.

Kristina (kristina3880) I started already. I own this book so I am super excited that I don't have to constantly renew from the library. It sucked me in immediately.I can't wait to discuss it with you guys.

Kristi (kristicoleman) I know! it makes you not want to put it down! I see myself taking lots of notes, lol.

Kristina (kristina3880) Started taking notes too!! I am using them as my bookmarks for each section.

Kristi (kristicoleman) Good idea...I think I'll steal that one!

Deana (ablotial) Looking forward to this one- i have the kindle edition :)

Linda | 1425 comments I'm new to this reading group and will be joining in the Under the Dome discussions. I just wanted to get clarification on the schedule. Does 10/14 Week 1 for the first section mean that we will have the first section read by 10/14 and we discuss it that week, or does that mean we start reading that section on 10/14 and discuss the following week? Thanks!

message 10: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicoleman) 10/14 means: The discussion will open this day, you can choose to read it before the discussion is opened or start on the day. It's totally your choice, but if you haven't read the section, be aware that the discussion may be filled with spoilers.

Linda | 1425 comments Thanks Kristi!

Amy (bibliocrates) I read this shortly after its release. Enjoy!

Kaley Hi guys!
I just joined this group, and it's a big first for me. I'm a huge reader, but never been in a book club, and I've never been part of an online forum either!
Anyways, last week my mom recommended this book to me, so I was wondering if it was too late for me to join in on the reading? I know I'll be able to catch up! If I can't join in discussion, I'll definitely be reading alongside you guys!

Kristi (kristicoleman) Join in Kaley! The more the Merrier! Glad to have you reading along with us.

Deana (ablotial) Glad to have you Kaley! I'm two sections behind at this point as well (though hoping to catch up this weekend) so feel free to join in at whatever section you happen to get to :)

message 16: by Becky (new)

Becky I didn't partake in this read, because I just didn't have time, but I am excited to see how everyone likes it at the end! Do you think we could start doing a final post at the end of the book where its just our groups reviews? That would be a great way for the rest of us to know if we should pick this book up at a later time.

message 17: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicoleman) Hey everyone, I was just looking at the dates on the schedule and realized that I put break weeks in, but didn't adjust the dates accordingly, I will update this week, but didn't want anyone being worried that they are behind or anything.

Tiina Hi!
I found this book club awhile ago and at first wasn't sure if I'd be able to join or if I'd just read all your comments, because the book "Under the dome" I wanted to discuss was so far along and I wasn't sure if I could catch up in time to discuss it with you.
But now I've caught up with the schedule and would like to join in, if it's still possible of course.

A little bit about me. I read a lot of different genres and am studying to be a librarian. I've been in a few book clubs, but never in a online one, so hopefully everything will work out.

message 19: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicoleman) Tiina, please do join us. Post any comments for previous sections in their correct threads of course. Glad to have you along!

message 20: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicoleman) Hey everyone, do you all think we need a break week next week, or shall we continue on to the end? From the discussion it looks like continuing would be a good idea. Please let me know!

Zulfiya (ztrotter) I am fine without a break because at this point the book is getting too absorbing not to read further, but members might have a different opinion. Let's ask in this week's thread.

Linda | 1425 comments I am also fine without a break - I forged on ahead past the reading schedule already.

Ok, I updated the thread to ask the question.

Deana (ablotial) I am fine without a break! This book has sucked me in!

Zulfiya (ztrotter) The quicker we read, the merrier:-) Besides, it only means new exciting reads are becoming noticeable.

It is being a compulsive read now, but I am taking notes not to spoil and also to be able to post regularly.
