Lindsay | 132 comments No, I am not kidding. But the authors are.

So, the people at Chez Apocalypse created with their fanbase a Twilight parody/satire called Awoken by Serra Elinsen. And it is kind of awesome.

You can watch the creation of this here: 50 Shades of Green, which is a lot like watching a Vaginal Fantasy hangout (complete with booze!) and it includes the offhand comment that made the fanbase decide that Twilight with Cthulhu was the best idea ever.

On a serious note, the book is actually a good read. It is very short, hilariously over-the-top, well-researched, and well-written.

Christine (animecanuck) | 410 comments That is strange... and bizarre. And I may just watch the video soon.

I currently can't imagine the world of Twilight clashing with C'thulhu. They're SO different. Wow. Trying to make them work together in my mind... just doesn't. Intriguing. :D

Tereza Isn't it funny that while the book Awoken is a blatant parody, it has in fact a more tasteful cover than most books of the genre?

The episode that involves the cover art arc is pretty interesting because they go through all the tropes that you see.

There is an episode where they look at the competition by going to Barnes and Noble "Young Adult Paranormal/Fantasy" section is pretty amazing, too.
