In this section we see the 'varmints' take serious retribution for not being allowed to take our narrator (or more accurately the part of Ursula that is still in him), and we see ourselves back at the start, discovering how the narrator's life has progressed since.
What do you think of the difference between the narrator as a boy and as an adult? To what extent were the events of the book the defining period of his life?
What do you think of the ending of the book?
