Introduce Yourself to the Group!

Hey, I'm James. I've just joined the group (obviously, haha), and just actually joined Goodreads too, if I'm honest - though I've been meaning to join for a while now. I'd read pretty much anything I can get my hands on, but unfortunately, I don't read half as much as I used to, or as much I'd like to either. I have problems with concentrating and have trouble finding the time (I've been pretty busy with school work), but enough of the excuses! I've set targets for myself in previous years that I've given up on, but I'm promising myself I'm going to stick to this one this time round, so I'm setting myself the target of 25 books this year, and am hoping to read even more than that :)

I'm Casey and I've been on Goodreads since 2012. I mostly read modern classics (have become a fan of Nabokov recently) but I've read my fare share of classics and bios.

I just joined the group today, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
So ... I'm Ingrid, a avid bookreader and Goodreads member since 2008. I love dystopian stories, historical fiction, crime and thrillers. I'd love longer days to finish all the books on my TBR piles :o)

I'm Abhishek. I've just joined in this group a couple of days back. I am a voracious reader, but due to slow reading speed I always turn up reading less than expected myself to do. This year my goal is to read 40 books and I've already finished with two of them. I want to appreciate the efforts of all the group moderators for making this beautiful group with lovely features such as "buddy reads".Great work guys :) Happy Reading :)

My name is Mariska and my challenge is to read 50 books this year. It's my first time doing such a challenge, I'm really excited! I love reading books about the military ('Thank you for your service' by David Finkel is my all-time favorite!) as well as fiction, romance, scifi and dystopian, but I'm always open to suggestions in other genres!

I LOVE historical fiction, time travel, horror and sometimes fantasy.
The Outlander series stands out as my most favorite of all time, but I also love Ken Follett and Kate Morton

@Debbie: What's your favourite Ken Follett? I fell in love with Lie Down With Lions when I was about thirteen, I have absolutely no idea why.
@Nancy: I love that your daughter reads more than you :). And I love your owl!!!

Hi. My name is Barb. I am a retired English teacher who owns many books. I have challenged myself to read 75 books in 2014 but with a twist. I must read books I already own since I am running out of shelf space and this is even with owning a Kindle and a. Nook.

Hi!! I am Laura, I love to read all types of different books mostly YA.

My name is Jorge, I'm currently challenging myself to read 40 books this year. So far I'm on track. Most of my selection of books are young adults. It's hard to pass on when they do so well w the propaganda :) . I noticed I am able to read contemporary work better. I struggle to
Thru classic books. I tend to day dream depending on the writing style :( . Maybe I will built that skill w time. I also want to enjoy different categories as well. That's another goal within a goal lol. Please feel free to add me. I am new to Good Reads.
Happy reading ,
Jorge

I joined Goodreads a few weeks ago.
Great tool to mark my progress and finish the books I start. :)
I like to read Theology and books that deal with the Christian faith along with Biographies. Recently, I've started reading True Crime, Classics and History.
