Brian DiMattia (kenmorebrian) | 6 comments I couldn't find this suggestion anywhere else, sorry if anyone else has already been discussing it.

I'm working on my Bingo card, and realized that more than one of my books worked for multiple squares. Then I wondered just how efficient I could make my reading. That is, if I did count books for as many squares as they fit, just how few books could I finish the whole card in?

For example: My "Random Book From A Shelf," which I've just started, is Robert Leckie's WWII memoir "Helmet For My Pillow." That would also fit for "Set During A War," "Set in Australia/Oceania," and "Turned into a TV Show" (HBO's "The Pacific"). One book could do 4 of 25 spaces, and that isn't even counting the "Free Space!"

(In fact, if I could find a 500 Page long book with magic, illustrations and only words on the cover, I could have a BINGO with one book alone!)

So I'm going to keep working my Bingo card in the normal way, but I'm also going to try to Efficiency Bingo the entire card with 10 books or less (or 2.5 squares per book)! Right now, I could finish it with a total of 17 books, so I have to get creative with what I read!

Kristin | 8 comments I hadn't thought of it that way before, but sounds like fun! I printed out the random house bingo cards as well, so maybe I will try efficiency bingo on one of them.

Kaitlin | 5 comments I thought about this when trying to decide which square to use when a book fit two. After I finish my first card, I want to try efficiency bingo.
