S.B. Redstone (sbredstone) | 26 comments I am an author and reader of mysteries. This is my first published novel, published by Black Opal Books. I am happy to be in a community of writers and readers rather than just sitting at my computer writing and marketing and talking to myself or my characters.

Welcome. My second book is a medieval mystery called "Ghosts of the Past." The Ghosts of the Past QR Interactive Edition (The Peers of Beinan, #2QR) by Laurel A. Rockefeller . So I'm a colleague in that respect.

This is a good group. You will find a lot to talk about and discuss. Welcome!

My fantasies are not that dark. Writing "Ghosts" actually stimulated nightmares and some of my darkest and most deeply repressed childhood memories. It was psychologically very draining for me to write it, actually.

But as the middle chapter of my Anlei's Legacy trilogy arc (The Peers of Beinan is structured as a series of linked trilogies rather than as one neverending story), Ghosts was my "Empire Strikes Back." The story needed to move in a very particular direction. You cannot rebuild a world (book three) until you first destroy it.
