I like just about any type of books except ones with futuristic worlds in them and romance. I probably read the most in historical fiction and fantasy though.

I personally really like my name. But I have only meet one other Karis (and I was kinda named after her)and always end up repeating it whenever I met someone new and not to mention the "Can you spell that again for me?" Something only people with difficult names can understand.

You write? I wish i could write books. When I look at some of my favorite authors and see how good they are, I know I could never be that good.

Sorry to jump in but that is cool! Who are you named after? ((: I love unique names!! Hahaha, people always do that with my last name. Its crazy xP

I am glad you stuck with writing I need to work more at developing my writing skills.
I have heard of people writing my name like Charis. However my mom didn't like the ch sound; she liked how it sounded as care-ris. And awww, I'm sure you're awesome too:)

It turns out 2,332 people in the U.S. have the first name Karis. I'm not sure if that includes variations.

Hello all, my name is Joe Bagnato and I am 44 years old, married for nearly 21 years and a father of 2 girls one of which is now an angel in heaven. I am also a first time author, a memoir that takes us through the cancer journey that ultimately took my daughters life at 15 years of age. You can see how beautiful she was just by gazing at the cover of my book that was published through Electio publishing on the 3rd of this month. @Sophie, The cover is a story in itself. The first picture you see front and center is actually a selfie that Caitlyn took of herself back in 2008. That was long before the creation of the selfie stick for cell phones or for that matter the popularity of selfie's in general.

Hello everyone! My name is Danny. I am retired and moved from Lakewood, California to Monroe, Oregon. I've been a born-again Christian since 1974. I am happy to be part of this Christian group. I enjoy both reading and writing.:) I married my high school sweetheart and been married 47 years. Four lovely children, two of which were born and died of childhood liver disease. I agree Joe, I have found writing is therapeutic in the grief process. We have given back two of our children in 1987 and 2008...

Hi Sophie! Where do I start? :) Here's just a few...

1.The title of the book and graphics are VERY important. The prospective buyer gives only a few seconds of attention, and you must grab their attention.(Spend as much time as you need deciding your book title)

2. The inside of the book flap describing the book will determine whether the customer will buy the book or not.(Don't make it too long, but draw them in for the catch) ;)

Sophie, American Star Books can publish your book. However, writing the book is only the first part, marketing it. Most with enough money hire a publicist to do so along with the publisher efforts.

My book is my true life story! Its a thriller with a message. It shows the reader themselves (thoughts) and how to overcome any obstacle by applying the Bible/Word of God into their everyday life.

My mess became God's message. The book walks you through how I became entangled in a gangster lifestyle. The product or fruit of that lifestyle was heroin addiction, career criminal, with 157 felony arrest, 5 felony convictions, 4 prison terms, 6 overdoses, and went on to become a licensed minister, published author, president and founder of Resurrection Ministries (Prison Ministry and Faith based solutions to addiction)

Why is this book so important. Everyone has someone in their family or a friend, that is either in jail, addicted or both.

The book is geared toward blessing the reader.
